Ms. Gina, I just lost 45 lbs. If I keep on watching and fixing them... if I can get to where I can eat more than 6 to 8 bites per meal, I'm going to gain my weight back 😏. I have to watch out..... This reminds me of when I was a little kid. Whenever my Mom and Dad would fix either fried chicken or pork chops for dinner, the next morning my mom would have saved the drippings from the night before and she would make either the fried chicken or pork chops gravy for breakfast and we would have it over toast in the morning. That was always my favorite breakfast. It was usually on a school morning and I tell you what. The smell of the gravy could wake me up when nothing else could. I really think that the pork chop gravy was my favorite. Now see..... I'm going to have to fix me some real soon. I made your Chicken Cordon Bleu for dinner tonight. I baked it as you did so I don't have any drippings to make any gravy. But it sure was good. I'm so glad to have found your channel. You're my go-to for any kind of recipe that I could want. Congratulations on your 45 lb weight loss. I just had to reply because I myself am down 45 lbs and it feels wonderful. I tried to have what I call a cheat day once a week and by doing so I have been able to maintain and I still seem to lose a pound here or there. Anyhow just wanted to say congratulations. Buttermilk in powdered form is available at our Wal-Mart and keeps a long time, When reconstituted it's just like the real thing, just saying... ..It saves me money....loving your videos, thanks for doing and sharing them!

Hi Gina, I made this dish tonight, and followed your recipe with what I had. It was easy. Your directions were great. The chicken came out delicious, and my husband was impressed and told me it was seasoned very nicely. The skin was crispy and the inside fully cooked, moist and juicy. My only problem was the gravy, but that had more to do with me as mine came out too thick. I ran out of milk, but what I had was delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us. Kathy

I made this and I almost hurt myself. I made some garlic butter mashed potatoes and a oven roasted brussel sprouts and carrots in olive oil, melted real butter, cracked black pepper and sea salt. So glad I found this video! For the buttermilk, I use Saco Buttermilk Blend because it lasts longer and you can add water to make up however much buttermilk you need at the time.

Plus ive been trying to figure out how to get the seasonings in the crust like you did for years, but now i know! only thing imma do different is use my meat tenderizer a bit cause i got a bit thicker breasts so imma flatten em out and tenderize them. final note, best fried chicken ive ever cooked, thank you.
Thanks for sharing this recipe Mrs. Gina. I don't buy buttermilk because I don't use it that often and it always goes bad on me. You can make buttermilk by adding vinegar or lemon juice to regular milk but use Google because I am not sure of the measurements. Looks delicious!

That looks sooooooooooooo good! When I cook chicken (especially if I'm frying it), I usually let the chicken marinate in buttermilk overnight - it makes the meat sooooooo tender it's not even funny!
