@@angelvaca9232 as it's corrosion resistance , amp resistance and conductivity it is better to use mixed metal oxide titanium anode but you can sill use graphite and filter the carbon resedue b/c most of the time i have used titanium for changing sulfates to sulfuric acid i.e when changing to sulfate salt to acid it have high corrosion which almost turns black but for this process you will get small corrosion you almost can filter with in minutes

Vinegar and bleach make hypochlorous acid, not chlorine.

How can a base and acid reacting produce another acid ? Sodium hypochlorite and acetic acid will produce an organic salt and chlorine gas. Common mistake in house cleaning is to mix bleach and vinegar thinking it will disinfect better but you end up possibly inhaling chlorine gas

@@th1nker21 Doubt it. I've made HOCl by electrolyzing a mixture of salt and vinegar in equalmolar ratio. HOCl does have its own odor, so maybe that's what you're thinking. It's not as dangerous as inhaling chlorine because it doesn't have the HCl component.

Typically for big rods enough 12V 1-2 Amp. I get max around 3A from 20A power supply, at 250ml solution.

Yes but in the process of waiting all those hours to fill a bottle of chlorine the sodium hydroxide would react with co2 in the air and make sodium bicarbonate which is close to useless

really? I really need info on this, as I was making chlorate cell and I'm worried of the presence of oxygen from the anode. So your'e saying this produces a mixture of chlorine and oxygen?

@@davemwangi05 if both electrods are placed in same container then the generated gas will be mixture of all , use separate electrodes using slat bridge mathod for separate gas storage . And be careful chlorine gas is highly toxic and haver then air so do it outside
