I KNOW RIGHT ? !!! I MEAN I WATCHED A LOT OF VIDEOS ON HOW TO MAKE AN ASIAN NOODLES BUT I DIDN'T REALLY UNDERSTAND THEM ALL , BUT THIS ONE IS MORE EASY AND DELICIOUS!
You can see his passion for food. Definitely with Chinese cooking, less is more. Jamie Orrible would be throwing all sorts into this chow mein, but it isn't needed.
What I love about Ken Hom's video is that he doesn't talk down to you, he isn't all flash, he's laid back, he takes his time to explain what he's doing at each stage. I have just ordered a wok and a selection of food items to give his recipes a try.
One of the best teacher in Chinese cooking . He demonstrated priceless lesson here . I used to go to Chinese cooking and all this was demonstrated at a very expensive lesson . Thanks Ken .
Wow, one of the best cooking videos Ive ever seen! Easy to understand, easy to follow, very detailed. He also goes above and beyond and shows you the intricacies of how to hold the cleaver; and other minute details
This man is simply a MASTER & great teacher to boot. Also, the TV chef Simply Ming taught me the bell pepper cutting trick on 1 of his shows some years ago.
We couldn't agree more! So lovely to hear that you have been inspired by Ken Hom for such a long time - and we are also super jealous of your fried rice!
I always like to watch Ken Hom videos because he has a very pleasing presentational style. There's a gentleness to his manner that's always a welcome contrast to the more egotistical, diva-type chefs.
I love watching this guy cook . I first found Ken , some 20 odd years ago on Sky's QVC shopping channel . I couldn't believe how quick he could put a chinese meal together , in such a short space of time . He gives clear , concise instructions , with as other posters have already mentioned , the reasons behind these choices , and all in a really polite and humble kinda way . Even here he showed how to hold and use a cleaver . A very pleasant guy to watch .
I LOVE that I came across this video!!! I lived in China for a few months and there are dishes like this that I crave often (I am from the US). Thank you for the detail in explaining each ingredient and the clarity and quality you bring you your videos.
This was well-explained and precise. Reasons were given to every action. He's easy to listen to. A very informative video. I'm genuinely glad I watched this.
This is a beautiful example how one single humble-toned decent man can show peace and good food to all of us: people of so different countries and religions. Respect from Hungary
What a really lovely chap! Great tips here. Chow Mein can be so varied. My own tip is stick to veggies you like, I add shitake mushrooms instead of the peppers. Pre-cook meat and add if you don't want vegatatian. Great vid, thank you Ken
HOLY BALLS. I'm fourteen and I never cook, neither do I know how to. This is the first meal I have ever made and I'm gone crazy for it. My brother finished the whole thing, oh my goddness. So basically, I used carrots, capsicum, and red peppers, garlic and then i added some garlic and onion paste. After frying the veggies etc, i added the noodles, and did as told. I added soy sauce, and lemon, pepper, salt. Ot was wonderful oh my god.
I loved his video and the way he explains each step as well as the reason for everything. He seems like a very kind and calm person, seeing his makes me want to cook.
I loved your video sir. I am culinary student too. I learnt a lot from you. The instructions are beautifully explained. Thank you for sharing this video with us.
I'm sure if he was actually serving this dish to others, he wouldn't have used the same chopstick. He probably shared it with his family, who drink/eat after each other all the time. Looked yummy! Love your videos, very informative
You are a very good cook and you explain everything with detail I'm gonna make this tomorrow hope i do it right just need sesame oil couldn't find it at the market I went but I'll try another
Your veggie Chow Mein sounds absolutely perfect. Lately, I find vegetarian versions of Chinese favorites more palatable for me. I am going to give this a try...thank you!
I did subscribe to your channel because I think you are doing an excellent job teaching us how to cook and you're giving reasons why we are doing the certain techniques that you are showing us. Very nice!! Thank you
So glad that you are enjoying the videos and learning how to master the cooking techniques 😊 do let us know which other recipes you enjoyed trying out at home!
