That was one the most painful pieces of turning I have seen. The amound of sodding about turning the ends was awful. The lathe has a compound slide for tapers - why not use it.
It’s a third world 🌎 country champ, they’re lucky to have electricity let alone precision tools. Think a little bit deeper before commenting and you’ll probably already know the answer. 👍🏼👍🏼
@@VLXVNDR yes, but the lathe includes the ability to turn tapers, so why not use it. We all know these people are doing the best they can with what they have. But using a functioning machine to half its potential is just going backwards.
It is a bit painful to watch, especially as the lathe has the facility to do tapers. I guess the handbook was missing when this one was fitted into the shop. 😀
