Amazing. Thank you for having Esther on! It really does seem like our contact with reality is a relational one. We are not these static, unaffected observers taking note of our surroundings, or even our inner world for that matter. There exist certain spiritual and psychological practices that encourage this bystander/disassociated view of reality as a means of attempting to address our inner turmoil. But we can't escape from the truth that we are embodied beings with real experiences and thoughts and feelings and our story of reality has to make sense of the totality otherwise we exist as fragmented, limping creatures. How amazing it is (and what a relief) that reality not only exists but is also perfectly designed. We are perfectly designed. When we open ourselves up in prayer we enter into that relational space in which we can be fully seen, and see ourselves being seen, by the one who created us in His image. In that loving encounter we are humbled and transformed by His grace. I love Psalm 139 as it beautifully illustrates this intimacy.

Problem is: “See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in Him, who is the head of all rule and authority” Colossians 2:8-10 (ESV)

Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?” 1 Corinthians 1:19-20 ESV … Too many warnings against philosophy … and she seems to disregard man’s constitution and the mechanics of salvation described in The Bible

Christs gospel is ideology that will occupy your house however reading and learning books outside the bible will help me understand what actually means. Not to take the figurative as literal as said they didn’t understand the loaves because their hearts were hardened.
