Hola Claudia! My wife, Claudia your tocaya, and I made this recipe this morning. I have to admit, it was very delicious and very easy to make. Wife did not add the sweet cream because she felt it was sweet enough, which it was. That’s all we did different. We did add nueces, coco and pasas in our bowls. Mucho delicious-oh! Thanks for the recipe! I don’t know if you have ever tried this but next time we will be adding a half bar of Choclate Abuelita to the piloncillo. My mom used to make it like that. What would you substitute? I use Artificial sweetener, raisins and cranberries. I also use vanilla almond milk, cinnamon and vanilla and cook it in a Crock-Pot overnight
I honestly have never heard of Mexican oatmeal but I eat oatmeal everyday so now I'm going to give this recipe a try. I usually cook it in a Crock-Pot and let it cook overnight. I use raisins and dried cranberries along with vanilla almond milk and it comes out great
The notification came in just in time to answer the question "What will I have for breakfast?". It tastes great. I used less sugar to adjust to my taste. The cloves and cinnamon take it up a notch. Thanks for sharing.

Would it be okay to blend the oatmeal down in my vitamix first? Wouldn’t that make the consistency better for some people like myself or would that ruin the recipe?
