Good question. Each carrier has its own beneficial properties. I use jojoba and almond because they work well for my skin type. They also do a great job treating both my beard hair and skin. My beard is smooth and my face is never itchy. And it's not too oily. You may want to read up on the benefits of different carrier oils before deciding which one or ones to use. It also never hurts to experiment until you find the right blend for you.

Carrier oils are essential (no pun intended) to diluting the essential oils. Essentials oils are highly concentrated and when not diluted properly, can have harmful effects on the skin. In other words, it makes it safe.

+Felix Dietz You apply just like you would lotion. Put five or six drops in your palm, rub hands together, and then work into your beard and skin. The oil is good for both.

Yeah, you definitely wouldn't want a spray bottle. It's oil. It's will stain your clothes, and I tend to put my shirt on before applying my beard oil so it doesn't rub on the shirt when putting it on.

You can absolutely use coconut oil. It's a great carrier oil!

coconut oil is all I use , it's cheap and you get them anywhere in your local grocery stores .
