If i press "load content" it doesn't find anything, seems to "auto" pick the wrong folder. How would i go about that issue? got the game via steam, what is the "connected/choosen" folder that you took? Aprpeciate if you've the time to help me out :)
Sorry Jonathan, I do not have the steam version installed and I don't know what the folder hierarchy is. The main folder for the Steam version should be under /Steam/steamapps/common/World of Warships though. I believe (don't quote me on this) there are game version folders in there, which the normal game client doesn't have.
I just found this video. I would love to try my hand at doing something like this but I am unable to look at the WoWs-Unpacker and the GIMP DDS plugin. Both come up with a File 404 Error message.
Hello! if you are using the newest version of GIMP, the plugin should already be included. WoWs unpacker: forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/113847-all-wows-unpack-tool-unpack-game-client-resources/

I can't find the Bellerophon Battleship in res_unpack_camuflage...this is strange. Everything is there, except Bellerophon... and Acasta In game the battleship is ok. odd..E:\games\World_of_Warships_Eu es_unpack\camouflages.xml (1 hit),Search "PBSB103" (1 hit in 1 file)...no texture , no nothing....
Hi! To edit the guns, you need to find the section that is called gun: There's a seperate line in the camouflage.xml that is called The guns themselves can be found under their respective directories, which is a separate folder inside each nation's directory "content\gameplay\\gun\main\textures"
Not a good tutorial for beginners! You move much too fast with inadequate explanations of performed tasks. Much too many holes and connection points missing to follow for a clear understanding. Fair try though.
Absolutely Brother! Going a bit slower and explaining your every move would be great. The parts where you: save the .dds under a different name, -where you save them to, -why you rename them, -how you arrived at 3 layers from the 2 layers last seen (big skip). I realize you're not necessarily doing a Gimp tutorial, but a step by step through your COMPLETE process would be fantastic! There are just too many holes for us noobs.
Alright! I'm going to revisit this once I am back. I do realise that a lot people have not used Gimp before. I presumed that people interested in creating camouflage had prior knowledge of these software types (may it be photoshop, gimp or paint.NET). In this sense it wasn't a "total noob guide".
Do I save the files in the normal structure?: games - World_of_Warships_NA - res_mods - 0.7.6.0 - (camouflages goes here) - content - gameplay - japan - ship - destroyer - textures (ship dds files go here)
