How to make Custom Party Plates| Canva Tutorial | DIY Custom Party Favors
I'm going to show you how I create my own custom Party Plates using
clear plastic plates from Dollar Tree.
⭐I'm going to be working over Canva.com to create the plate template

and the custom plate design. The template is just a basic circle if
your using a different size plate just resize your circle.
⭐This is not food-safe, meaning you can not put food on top of the
printed paper, to make it safe to eat on we're going to adhere our
template to the bottom of the plate using double-sided tape.
⭐You can also adhere to the bottom using mod podge or another clear
adhesive. Another option is to place another clear plate on top and
use it as a charger.

Hi. I'm trying to design these custom plates for my daughter using Canva. I put in the custom size 7 by 7 but for some reason, when I get done the circle doesn't completely fit on the paper. It cuts off because it's too large and the design is too large for the middle of the plate. I will be cutting the circles by hand, by the way. Please help. Thanks

You’re canvas size should be at least 8.5 x 11

Great question, It’s best to save your design as a PDF in canva this will prevent you from having to resize the design when printing. Open the PDF and print it as 8.5x11 page size.

okay so if I save as a pdf I don't need to save the photo and put it on a 8.5x 11 custom before printing

@@keyonharris7247 yes, just print the pdf also make sure your printer is set to print at 100% or "Actual Size." DO NOT check "Scale to Fit" or "Fit to Paper".

It's hard to say for sure, it depends on the specific dimensions of the plates you're using. However, you can try doing a print test to see if they'll fit

Unfortunately, Design space is not the most user-friendly software to create designs you have to take a lot of additional steps because of design space print then cut size limitations. I highly recommend that you consider using Canva.
