Welcome...this is a great Recipe for chunky Tomato Sauce which can be used in many Dishes. Delicious with Spaghetti and Meatballs or served over grilled Chicken with mashed Potatoes and Salad on the Side.
Chunky Tomato Sauce
Ingredients:
1 can (15oz) Tomato Sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes, petite cut
1 Onion, small dice
2 Celery Ribs, small dice
4 Garlic Cloves, small dice
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 tbsp Oregano, dried
1 tbsp Basil, dried
1-1/2 tbsp Olive Oil
Heat Oil in Skillet on med/high heat.
Add Onions and Celery.
Season with Salt & Pepper.
Sauté until almost tender. Add Garlic,
sauté until tender.
Incorporate Tomato Sauce & diced Tomatoes.
Season with Oregano & Basil.
Stir frequently and simmer to the consistency of your liking.
Add more Salt if needed.
Enjoy!
