ABOUT ME:
Thanks for visiting my channel, I hope you enjoyed the video! I founded Caterpillar Cross Stitch in 2015 when I tried desperately for months to find a modern baby sampler my mum could stitch for new baby Felicity that would fit in with her simple, contemporary nursery. I love cross stitch, running, baking fruit cakes, drinking gin, eating salted caramel ice cream and most crafts!
See you soon and happy stitching! Sally x

I'm so glad I watched this!! I tend to buy my floss drops as well as make them....my way of making them is similar to glueing down paper onto tags.....but I tend to be left with a mess & due to chronic illness I get tired doing them! I am so going to buy the tag maker & hole punch ^_^ so much quiker & less mess, especially as I will need 61 floss drops for one of my cross stitch charts I need to kit up!! Thank you sew much for this!!!!xx

Thanks for the video. It's pretty much the methods I use, however I don't use a sticker on the back but use pencil instead and just rub it out and redo if I reuse the tags. I've also used printed or coloured card stock instead of gluing paper to card or paper.

Thank you! I just punch my tags out of scrapbook paper. Punch the other holes & I’m done. I write directly on the back of the tag & then just toss them when I’m done. Thank you for a few different ideas.

What is the small hole next to large hole used for. This looks so much easier than winding bobbins

Hi Karen, Marie here - thanks so much for watching 😊 I use the small hole for my 'active' thread - one that I've used already but it's not quite short enough to throw away so I'll use it again. I keep it separate from the main hole because it gets easily buried in the bulk of threads so it's quicker to grab it from the smaller hole 😊 I kit up all my projects on floss drops, I personally love it! Happy stitching 🌸 Marie

Now I know what I’m doing wrong. I need to punch the backing only if I glued the printed/decorative paper on first! Duh, why couldn’t I have figured this out first? Thank you for a mundane subject. It was sooo informative. Now I don’t have to buy the expensive plastic drops.

Hi, you definitively put threads on this cardboard ? or it's only for only embroidery project moment ? I have all my threads on little DMC cards and I wonder if I put my threads temporarly on drops or on DMC cards.
@CaterpillarCrossStitch

Thank you for watching. Personally I would use the floss drops when I am stitching a project. You can store them permanently on the made floss drops if you want to but it might be harder to store them when not needed.

@@CaterpillarCrossStitch Yes I think like you. It's difficult to storage them on drop card. I will see. Thank you very much for your answer 🌹

What is the small hole for next to the larger hole?
@amycain856
@amycain856 Год назад
It is for one piece of floss that may be leftover from your project so that you have a place to keep it :)
