Hello Flosstube! My video tutorial comes at the request of others who have asked for me to share more widely how I stitch using a number of loop start and finishing techniques.
Eternal thanks to Karen Bugg (needlebugg) whose flosstube tutorials are exquisitely filmed and explained.

Stitching for 53 years never knew about loop finish. Will be making back of projects so much neater. Thank you for sharing!!! 💜

My mind is absolutely blown. I learned the loop start YEARS after I started stitching and thought that I had learned the most awesome technique. However, I started a big project a little over a year ago where about 90% of the stitches are with blended threads... I've watched countless videos and NOT A SINGLE one has shown either the loop finish or the single thread loop start. THANK YOU for sharing your techniques!

I’ve been cross stitching for almost 40 years, just learned the loop start about 4 years ago. Total game changer. Can’t wait to see the loop finish.

I've been stitching for over 40 years, you learn your basic skillset as a beginner and then you get to stitching. Then years go by and you discover youtube tutorials and you think "eh, I know what I'm doing" but you decide to see what's out there. And the tricks and shortcuts just blow your mind. I wish I had found these decades ago, thank you! Never stop learning, folks! I had figured out the basic loop start when you're working two same-color strands but never learned the loop finish. And the fact that you include single strand and blended---THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING! I work on a stand and flipping over my work was the biggest pain, so many unnecessary movements. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Thanks so much. I knew the loop start and the loop finish, which means that I never have to waste time turning my work over. Great! But I understood that you couldn’t use the loop start with one thread, and you blew that out of the water!! What a simple method!! I have never used an uneven thread count, but I am now prepared!! Genious!!

Love this loop style. I’ve been cross stitching for about 40 years and stopped when I got cancer in my 40’s and just recently picked up again. All these tips have shortened my time and I’m able to accomplish a lot more. Thank you and keep up the good work and thanks for starting the tutorial right away.

I'm going to give this a try. I'm 32 and have been cross sourcing since I was 8. My ex stepmom taught me but she taught me to run my thread behind the stitching on the back which not only makes the piece bulky, but it has a tendency to bunch the fabric or loosen stitches. Definitely worth it if it means cleaner work.

Love love love this! I have started using variegated floss so no loop and some single ply threads but when I heard about loop finish for the first time yours was the first I came to. I have watched three times in two days already! I have also cross stitched and embroidered since the seventies!, I only heard traffic noise once and then only because I was listening for it the third watch. It does not bother me at all like pet and people noises
