Just found your dovetail video today (05/05/16) and now I don't think that I'm nuts or at least not the only one that is. I was watching a video yesterday of Stumpy Nubs cutting dovetails on a saw bench, and when he was cutting the waste out with a coping saw I thought it might be possible to do all of it with a scroll saw. Now I'll actually have to give it a try.
Nicely Done Charlie. I believe it's proper to have the edge stick out a bit and then sanded for a good looking finish. I've seen other videos on this but yours was so easy to understand.
I do all my dovetails on my Hegner Saw. I put a small pot under the blade housing where the vacuum fits so all the ultra fine saw dust drops in it. I then use that saw dust to fill in any fine caps. I also never use a spiral blade as they wonder every where. I use a small No 5 blade put into my machine backwards.
