How to Make DRAGON EGGS! (Inspired by Game of Thrones)

This week I create 5 Dragon Eggs inspired by Game of Thrones, using 3 different methoods to see which one is worthy!! Being a huge fan of the show I had to have my own and wanted to make them as true to the book description (and show) as I could --and they came out better than I imagined!! Worked on them a few hours each night for about 2 weeks and voila! I am now the Mother of Dragons!!!

Plastic Eggs from JoAnn's 6" diameter
White Foam Sheet
Plastic Wood
Rubber Cement
Paints:
Drogon- Folk Art Barnyard Red/ Folk Art Pure Black/ Folk Art Color Shift Black Flash/ Folk Art Metallic Garnet Red
Rhaegal- Folk Art Hunter Green/ Folk Art Color Shift Green Flash
Viserion- Delta Creative Raw Sienna/ Apple Barrel Antique White/ Folk Art Metallic Champagne/ Folk Art Metallic Pure Gold
Spray Paint Primer for foam projects
Regular Spray Paint Primer

Eggs came out amazing! I was thinking of making three with three different methods too. Clay, foam, and thumbtacks....whichever one is cheaper I'll do. Gotta check Hobby Lobby and Amazon.

Just ran across this video and was disappointed to find that the blog on making the basic eggs has been taken down. Anyway this will be fun to explore. Great job!!

These look amazing. IDK about the books but in the show it looks like drogon's egg looks a little more red then what you added. Personally i would have painted it black/very darck brown/ very dark grey and then dry brushed from top to bottom red a metalic red, just to give it a little extra kick of red. But yours look amazing and i now want to try this

Almost done with this video I'm very impressed im trying to do this for a gift for my dnd players but st this point idk if I wanna make em or buy em lol. What size eggs do u use btw? Wanna know if 20 cm is too big or not. Was planning on getting hand sized eggs or slightly bigger than tht

Thank you so much! I would say they are about 10 inches around and 8-9 inches high. I think hand held ones would be fun!! If you make them tag me- I'd love to see them!!

@@MyOwnDrum I bet they do! I actually picked some pine cones today and dehydrated the petals. I'm going to glue them on some Styrofoam carved into egg shape, plasti dip, then paint and see how that turned out. From my searches, I've never found a video of anybody using pine cone petals to make a dragon egg out of. Fingers crossed!

@@MyOwnDrum Will do! I've never tried to create or edit RU-vid videos. Everything on my channel is shot in one continuous take. Otherwise, I'd make a step-by-step video. If it turns out good, I'll post a video at least of the finished product. ;)
