Tina, we don't watch videos looking for perfection. We watch because we like you and we are looking for inspiration. Seeing that someone else has the same struggles helps .

Tina, what not to do is just the other side of what to do, either way you still learn the process. I for one know how you feel on a “clumsy “ day, sometimes it’s just like that. The envelopes were beautiful, putting one aside is the right thing to do when it’s not falling into place, you got there in the end. Thank you for your time and inspiration.💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐

Yes, sometimes you just can’t get something to come together how you want, so like you say it’s better to just leave that piece for the time being. X

Tina quit beating yourself up for stepping up and trying something nobody else has tried. I make envelopes with my envelope maker all the time but never even considered fabric. Sooo I watched the whole thing and was interested that it worked as well as it did. You are to be commended to try something so different. You give a lot of freedom to crafters. Many of us are OCD and quite stuffy. You though are a free spirit and I for one enjoy that. Great job!

FYI: Perfect is boring! Love your videos. We all make a mess and figure it out. Your end results are beautiful! Just a note: Don’t use the punch board. Cut a square (any size), and just fold like Gi Kerr does in her DIY envelope videos. All you women are so helpful with your tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing.💜😎

I too am very impatient when crafting. I put all kinds of projects in a 125F degree oven and dry them. It works wonderfully. I appreciate the “real process” fumbles and all. I’ve been making journals for just over 2 years. We all fumble.

Tina I love all your projects and videos and the reason I love them best is because you don’t practice before you do them. Real crafters don’t practice we make as we go mistakes and all … but there are no mistakes only opportunities to grow our skills. It is how we learn and play. I love each project and that you share them and your family and life with us, keep up the good work! I miss hearing about what you are up to at home and work. 😊💖😊

My Daddy had a work shop shed that was 15 feet by 25 feet and if he wanted some one to get something out of the shed he could tell you exactly where it was,it amazed all of us.

Hoarding, yes; it's a function of crafting. I think, however, that it's also a function of mothering. I always imagine what I would have done if I lived in a primitive society with a bunch of kids to take care of, particularly in a matriarchal society with no guaranteed support from a man. I would be making things out of whatever was at hand and hoarding likely items for the future. It occurs to me that another way to make these envelopes is to use iron-on fabric adhesive and iron tissue paper onto the back for the inside of the envelope. They will be stiffer. Thanks for this tutorial! I admire your inventiveness and creativity. Here's to hoarding!
