Absolutely loved & appreciated this video, so clear so helpful ❤ I needed cushion covers for my campervan & adapted the 5" slightly (as didnt have enough fabric) so made it 2 inches & used velcro to hold it close. They look FABULOUS..so easy🎉 just amazing, thank you 😊

So for each chair you use 2 yards of fabric for both cushions. Great job on them

Thank you! My 90yo Papa asked me to sew a smaller pillowcase for a cushion he uses to sit on, on top of his regular couch cushions. He doesn't want it permanently sewn over the cushion, and i done have time to learn how to sew in a zipper for the first time (lol i don't even have time to go shopping for one hehe!), so i thought... envelope method, of course! But his biggest complaint is that a regular pillowcase my grandma uses ends up way too loose. I knew i needed to add the 2 inch depth of the cushion but just couldn't picture how.... This is perfect! Thanks soooo much! The only thing i may do is to add a button to the envelope overlap, so he can't say it's "sliding all over the place" anymore 😂

great cushion patterns, when I used your measurement process, my cover came out too large...can you help ?
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle 15 дней назад
Oh no! I’m so sorry they came out to big. I hope you didn’t make too many at one time. I think the only way to fix it without pulling out stitches is to sew around coming in closer, then you can cut the original stitches off once you get it to size. Please let me know how you make out. So sorry! 😞

The foam I am covering is 4” thick and very stiff. Would it be easier to get it into the cover if the overlap was more or less than 5”?
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle 8 месяцев назад
The smaller it is the easier it is however, you want to be sure it’s long enough to overlap once the foam is inserted. I hope this helps.

Hmmm, I can’t quite remember. I bought a whole box of assorted colors in sets of 4 when I bought it. I’m pretty sure I bought it online at Joann. If I remember I will let you know for sure. Thanks for watching. 😊❤️

Why 3 inches on the box corners?
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle 3 месяца назад
Because that is how thick the cushion is. If yours is 4 inches make it 4 inches. You want it so it fits good and snug,😊❤️

I am just so confused on how to measure the width. In your video you measure your cushion 25inches and say the width of the fabric needs to be 25in. What about a seam allowance? Then later you measure 29 inches when cutting the fabric. Can you please explain that.
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle 2 дня назад
@@stefanies.9051 yes I’m sorry for the confusion. I will watch the video later today and try and help fix it. So sorry 😞
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle
@sewandquiltwithaprilsawtelle День назад
Hi Stephanie So I see that it was very confusing. When I showed the 25 inches, that was for the back of the chair Cushing. We don't need to allow for the seam allowance because it needs to be smaller then the pillow so it will scrunch up around the pillow like a glove, so basically the seam allowance was accounted for. The 29 inches I spoke of was the width of the bottom Cushing. I hope to do another video in the near future that Is a bit more clear. Sorry for any confusing.
