This was wonderful! Thank you so much for putting this video together! I feel very inspired and motivated that I can do this. It looks simple enough! Thank you again for taking the time to show us your steps! ❤❤❤
Absolutely loved & appreciated this video, so clear so helpful ❤ I needed cushion covers for my campervan & adapted the 5" slightly (as didnt have enough fabric) so made it 2 inches & used velcro to hold it close. They look FABULOUS..so easy🎉 just amazing, thank you 😊
Thank you! My 90yo Papa asked me to sew a smaller pillowcase for a cushion he uses to sit on, on top of his regular couch cushions. He doesn't want it permanently sewn over the cushion, and i done have time to learn how to sew in a zipper for the first time (lol i don't even have time to go shopping for one hehe!), so i thought... envelope method, of course! But his biggest complaint is that a regular pillowcase my grandma uses ends up way too loose. I knew i needed to add the 2 inch depth of the cushion but just couldn't picture how.... This is perfect! Thanks soooo much! The only thing i may do is to add a button to the envelope overlap, so he can't say it's "sliding all over the place" anymore 😂
Oh no! I’m so sorry they came out to big. I hope you didn’t make too many at one time. I think the only way to fix it without pulling out stitches is to sew around coming in closer, then you can cut the original stitches off once you get it to size. Please let me know how you make out. So sorry! 😞
Hmmm, I can’t quite remember. I bought a whole box of assorted colors in sets of 4 when I bought it. I’m pretty sure I bought it online at Joann. If I remember I will let you know for sure. Thanks for watching. 😊❤️
I am just so confused on how to measure the width. In your video you measure your cushion 25inches and say the width of the fabric needs to be 25in. What about a seam allowance? Then later you measure 29 inches when cutting the fabric. Can you please explain that.
Hi Stephanie So I see that it was very confusing. When I showed the 25 inches, that was for the back of the chair Cushing. We don't need to allow for the seam allowance because it needs to be smaller then the pillow so it will scrunch up around the pillow like a glove, so basically the seam allowance was accounted for. The 29 inches I spoke of was the width of the bottom Cushing. I hope to do another video in the near future that Is a bit more clear. Sorry for any confusing.
