This is a great video! I personally am appreciative that she took the time to share her recipe and expertise. This is becoming more rare due to the rude comments. If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.
i loved this video. Made it just the way she says, and it turned out amazing. Stop with all the bad comments. Just makes you look like haters cause she can do this and you can't! Much love! I lived in Winchester a couple years, so wish i could have met her back then. :)
I love the idea of doing an emulsified sugar scrub - it gives a lotion-y feel to an otherwise rough scrub. Great ideas for sure. I have been doing this for ten years now, and it is great to see and hear new ideas. Afterall, none of us have that one perfect recipe - there is no such thing. Thanks for posting!
She was talking cost per pound of actual product used not what it would cost to get all the supplise. This is an emulsified sugar scrub not a regular one. Stop ragging on the woman she was just videotaping a demo at a soaping convention. The woman doing the demo and the woman whose channel this is are two different women. Demo lady is owner of soapapalooza I am not sure if the spelling is right. And yes there where rude women talking when they should be listening. The reason for the blocked faces is that kim didn't have the permission to show their faces.
wow a bunch of rude ladies... when you have a speaker it is only manners to be quiet so she can be heard without having to shout over the noise. But other then that ... LOVE the scrub!!!
Yes, you were very interesting and I enjoyed what I could hear you do ... your fellow crafters were very rude talking over you amongst themselves. Why do adults act like this? Did mama never teach you respect people? Thank you for showing us how to do this.
I thought the same thing. Personally, the Sugar Scrub that I make has all organic ingredients, and a much higher quality. I'm surprised that Spas would purchase such low-grade products.
I never get tired of watching this video. I've must have watched this over 20 times. What had me laughing was the first woman who toke 2 scoops not worring about anybody else will left out to get. lol SMH.
The lady to the right does a lot of nodding which may indicate agreement with what is being said & gone but my god she is frowning a hell of a lot & giving a lot of disapproving looks. WHO IS SHE & why the hell wasn't she cut out of the frame before uploading this video. NOT a good advert!!!!!!
Agreed. We never know what's going on in people's personal lives. I'm sure my expressions were like here's for a long time after I lost each of my parents. She looks very sad.
Wow I found it incredibly hard to hear her.... the people in this workshop were very rude...talking so loudly and not listening at all...like a room full of kids...I would have stopped the demo and asked for their attention
Agreed. I also would have had the lady with what looked like, either animosity or some kind of "attitude" toward the presenter, move off camera or not included her within the shot at all. (Thinking she was miffed because her comments were cutoff to continue on with the presentation) For me, she completely drug the whole atmosphere down. I appreciate this video and the knowledge all the same despite rude/negative vibes.
amazing!!! I have always made my own natural scrub but never went all out to do something like this. Must try!!!!:) WHat would be the self life on this product if you use optiphen as the preservative?
Do you know how to rinse the scrubs off? I know it is advised to not let coconut oil go down the drain (per oil pulling experts). I'm wondering what impact the oils in the scrubs have on the plumbing system -- and especially on water/air jets in a tub. Do you have any thoughts/suggestions?
+B Miller Interesting. I didn't know that. I looked it up and it is recommended to run hot water down the drain for 30 seconds after it goes down the drain. This will bring it to a liquid state and it will get through the small pipes. It shouldn't have any issues once it gets to the larger pipes outside of the home. I am not sure about the water/air jets in a tub. Personally I wouldn't use it in there because I'm not sure of how one would get it out of the jets without a q-tip or something haha.
+elisasmama Thanks for your response. I'm sorry I missed seeing this until today. I would really like to try it but might wait to see what Nataku finds out for sure.
Hi dear .... Thanks a lot for sharing this active and useful video 🙂🙏🙏she explained about Ewax....I couldn't understand well .... I don't have Ewax available .... And I can't order this product .... Can you help me and guide me to make myself..??? 🙏🙏🙏
I have a question myself: how do I get the blue color I saw in the thumbnail? That's what drew me to this video in the first place, and I thought you would be making what was represented in the thumbnail.
Yes, I wish people wouldn't put misleading things on thumbnails like this. Granted, this thumbnail showed a scrub and that's what was demonstrated, but people need to be thoughtful enough to put exactly what they are making on the thumbnail because people are drawn to certain colors, to each their own, and if someone sees a thumbnail of something in a favorite color and clicks it, only to find that's not what was demonstrated, it can be *_very disheartening!_* +Essential Soap, Please keep that in mind for future reference. That's two_ of us who were hoping to see what you put on your thumbnail and felt let down!
I sooo am going to try that recipe. ..but she talked about a salt scrub for feet...would you have to substitute the same amount of salt for the sugar in the recipe?
There is A video by Tara Lee Who makes skin care in the whole video is called something like “ how to determine the shelflife of your products”... and she tells you how to do just that. So it’s not going to be the same for everybody because it actually depends on the product that you’re purchasing to make the product.
Yes you can, but you would have to use less than what you would use of fragrance because essential Oil it's more concentrated, it's a great Idea tho to use essential oil instead to keep it as natural as possible. I have done it about 20 times and I just love it. Hope that helps.
The link for the recipe is not working and the link that the other viewers are being provided is not for this video it's a different recipe can you please provide the link for the recipe to this video
No you're *_not!_* I'd like to know why those were there too. Nothing but black boxes, not even annotations. What flustered _me_, was seeing this beautiful blue scrub in the thumbnail and clicking here, spending well over 20 minutes because I had to rewind more than once, only to find there was no Caribbean Blue-colored scrub. If they're going to make a mango colored scrub, they need to put a mango colored scrub on the thumbnail. If they're going to put a blue scrub on a thumbnail, they need to _make a blue scrub!!_
Jennifer Trivinia Jennifer, _yes, I did._ She got the mango color from the beeswax and probably the corn oil as well, so I have no idea what she used to make the blue one, a shade of blue I truly enjoy. So what was the purpose of your question? Did you come over here just to belittle me for expressing my grievance over a misleading thumbnail? Because that's exactly what I'm picking up here. If you have no valuable input, no encouraging word, nor intention to maybe say something was amiss to you as well, you could have held your peace. Have a nice day.
Why would you say she got the mango color from the beeswax and the corn oil when she clearly states she that got the color from tkb, she explains the scoop size as well. Besides the lady that made this video and the one that is making the presentation are 2 different people.
Once you have the scrub made and jarred, are you supposed to mix it with water to apply it to your skin? Or do you just use it as is on already wet skin? She also mentioned Soapers Choice.....but what was the other company she mentioned?? something like REDA, RITA, or Reada?? Great video
I made this, (i cut the recipe in half tho) I used sweet almond and avocado oil as opposed to sunflower and it leaves a greasy residue on my skin. Not sure what I did wrong ?
Avocado oil tends to sit on top of the skin rather than soak in. Try the recipe with just the sweet almond oil or use a lighter oil for the second one(grapeseed is a good one)
I absolutely never have a brochure. The reason I do not have a brochure is because if the FDA ever calls the thing they really only want is you to mail them a copy of all of your brochures so that they can scrutinize them 4 mistakes that they can penalize you for.
The blacked out faces were a little bit annoying in regards to some of the viewing. And the fact the camera was stationary and you were moving around. I guess being there would have been so much better.
What about people who are allergic. Is the colorant and preservative safe for this with skin allergies. Pls chime in anyone and let me know what you think. Also have any of you tried this recipe and does it seem good? Thanks.
+lainey ruocco this would be great without colorant. I use Mica which is considered more natural colorant. I have also made it without a preservative and holds up fine. Just take care not to splash water into the container. That is the main reason a preservative is used in the event water were Splash in to the mixture during use.
Lavender0531 thank you I was setting here wondering what the hell is that Preservative I’ve never made this in my life before thank you your information is very useful
