But why the subdivision surface on the second pill thing already has way too many polygons than it needs for simple pill well depends on what you want to use it for games or renders but why not add some loops on those extruded edges instead problem solved
You're absolutely right and performance was really not something I gave a lot of priority here. If I were remaking this I'd cut the polycount down significantly.
Yo man great tutorial ! But I am stuck. When I go to highlight it only grabs the front of the selected object and not through it so I cannot change the shape of the whole object nor color.
If I understand correctly this sounds like maybe it isn't in wireframe view when you're selecting. Wireframe or x-ray view should let you select the back faces. Out of curiosity, which version of Blender are you using?
@@xtosyy Hmmm. I'm confused by this description as well. This might be the type of thing that could get an easy resolution if you post a screenshot in the blenderscience discord.
Hey there. It's been awhile since I made this video. "Add mesh" should be accessible with Shift+A but I'm not sure that's what you are referring to. Can you timestamp which part of the video you're mentioning?
@@mikkelch2038 Okay, I'm really not sure about this one. I've retraced the steps here in 2.91.2 and haven't had any issues getting the squares and dots. Unless it's something like you need to have face select enabled instead of vert select I'm really not sure what the issue is in this case.
If there is a kind of odd shadow between the cylinder and sphere/different colour it might be because there is an internal face (probably from the cylinder) that needs to be deleted. I think what you are describing can also happen if you don't merge the verts.
