Golems are wonderful to protect your base. I was basically alone, level 24, with only a stone guardian (hammer arm) when the first purge arrived at Thelit Island and my golem was able to knock them all, even the final boss, an uber-mega king rocknose (building size). That left me pretty convinced they are a must-have when defending your base. 😊
Yes. I've had golem defend my base multiple times. I do think they heal, although very slowly Although it could be a glitch, each time I've come back to my base, they have full health
Probably gonna use them as tank. Their hp is quiet high, they have an ability to block damage, can buff you with the lotus burner. And if they die, well, just like a phoenix, chop them up and raise a new one from their blood stone remains 😝
Their ability to tank and AOE heal is nice, though they'll be very situational in their effectiveness I do think. The bonus of harvesting crystals after they die is nice for getting a head start on the next golem you make
My Golem Workbench is empty.. i don't get a selection of things to craft. Must be a glitch with the many mods the server has that I'm playing on, unless I'm missing something else i need to unlock/learn to craft these parts.
you can also get golem parts in the unamed city i get them pretty much everytime when killing 3 stull bosses sometimes I get two parts out of one boss maybe 3 parts as well didnt really test it out fully yet
Good spot! I knew I'd probably have missed a few farming methods in here, but I'm not surprised to hear they can drop from Unnamed City bosses, given how often people farm them
but the methods you did in the video is better more fun then going to the unnamed city all the time gets boring going to unnamed city after a few runs i like your methods better i also learned about golem's more on your video 🙂👍
I was thinking your next base build should be centered around golems or golemancy since that was pretty much the main thing for chapter 3 aside from the journey system like a Golemancer’s cave or something would be pretty sick
Honestly, I still would prefer if there would be some way to restore damaged golems - either for price (resources or even blood crystals), ability so salvage their components after defeat, or as one user correctly mentioned, putting them back into station and let them "recharge" (even at the cost of draconic time), but having them as an asset that would eventually expire seems a bit wasteful to me
I get the idea behind them being non-repairable, it encourages you to be careful with your high level Golems but also allows a bit of experimentation with Stone or Iron ones. I wouldn't be against them being repairable though, perhaps through something a T4 sorcerer could craft at the Golem workbench that takes them out of commission for a while whilst repairs are underway
Ok so you know that city on the left side of the map where set is worshipped (no I don't know its name) you can find all 3 teirs of parts on the chest at random crystal is rare but that's to be expected
Honestly when I first heard I was 100% expecting some level of automatic farming since they're not exactly as efficient as the player would be it seems they're more of pack mules that can also help harvest... Also given the pure expense of making just 1 having it fight is pretty uneconomic. Biggest thing for the automatic farm is limiting the amount probably otherwise it'll turn into thralls again where people just spam them everywhere, so you end up more likely to run into golems then actual enemies which would be a huge hurdle for new players on a server since they aren't push overs. The only real viable ones are the ones with the incense burners cause they can provide actual solid buffs like heals/cleanse/20% damage.
I vote that you gain the ability to make different type of weapons for them that way they could do better at their job and maybe if they're on a corrupted area the slowly gain health or something I don't know
Farming sorcerers... well, that got me back into the game. Let me explain, after chapter two, I can do something in game, instead of wait 1500 minutes for a named thrall. In Siptah this mechanic is scaled even better with jailers. Anyway, I don't know how golems will work out, but chapter two was a lot of fun to play, despite the usual and endless bugs, which by now I consider features (however much they shouldn't be). Tuesday is still the release date?
The ability to craft a follower rather than wait is indeed a nice change, and I am partial to a bit of farming myself 😂 Yep, update still comes out on Tuesday!
@@Eradicati0nn I will find out tomorrow, thanks for testing though, so I can play with less bugs, I hope that distorted business model works for you and the devs (actual devs, not what you non-devs refer to) works out for both ;)
They should make the "autonomous" version be something that you "train" the golem. Telling it to "follow" and it will copy your route and actions, then when you're done with your route, tell them to "unfollow" and then "begin" and they replicate what you did.
Someone help, I learned the activation spell and I have all the parts in the guardian assembly station but when I open the menu I can’t activate the ritual (Xbox if it matters)
In a sandbox PvE perspective they sound fun. In a raid game pvp perspective I don't think they will stick with that crowd. Btw did you tested corrupted authority with golems?
Yeah I don't see them getting too much use outside of PvE, then again I'm not familiar with the PvP landscape so they may end up having some usage. I just tested corrupted authority a little, it seems the shared damage perk is very detrimental to the Golem, but the first perk that boosts damage when you're in combat seems fairly good. I didn't notice a marked increase in deflection with any of the perks though
why you didnt show us the location on the map to talk to the dude is beyond my understanding. i appreciate the 10 minutes of your help minus the only thing i needed lol
Mek Kamoses' spire is in the northern desert, it's got a huge red beam emanating from it that you can see almost anywhere on the map. To be fair though, I didn't include a shot of the beam, so that's my bad
Put all the golem peaces in the thing. I can see my full golem sitting on the table but the assmble option is darked out and icant finish it. Any idea why?
how do you "give them an item to search for" ? I created my first golem and tho I created him with 10 slots and scyth (only one I had on hand) no option exists that I can find to have him collect nor any inventory to give him an item
You can give golems armor and with Well Trained active they are strong. I just put my iron golem with exploding head versus Redmother solo and he won with 15hp left that's after fighting the giant spider. posted video of the fight.
Harvester golems would probably be a high tier than harvester thralls because you still would need to feed your thralls, while golems don't need to eat.
True, unless maybe only named thralls can harvest? In which case they'd be harder to initially attain than a regular golem, and could be equipped with star metal tools. Various ways they could go with it tbh
I got that idea that a newly constructed combat oriented golem would be a better choice as a follower if you don't want your fully leveled T4 thrall to be destroyed by some world/dungeon bosses. Are the golems immune to bleed/poison?
I didn't actually think to test that. I believe they're immune to "human" status effects like bleed and poison, as I can confirm they cannot be bled. As for cripple or sunder I'm unsure, I'd have to double check that. Good catch!
They need to make the golems able to do full heavy or light combos cause i dont see golems doing full combos, kinda useless for a fighter type of companion. Not entirely useless as they are tanky, but them being able to do full combos (heavy combo for the heavy axe) would be very very good
Hm… well I see the crystal golems as your base guardians. Being so expensive it would be a waste to have them travel with you and them getting smashed to bits by a world boss. So it would make sense you’d keep them as guards for your base to protect against players or maybe even have them serve as a defense against the purge.
I suspect they'd do good at purge defence, especially supported by archers. I think Crystalline have a place in supplemental harvesting and maybe even some form of mobbing, but they are fairly expensive
Great video, yet no matter where I look or what I try, I can't find a way to open my golem's inventory. Help? Anyone? I see no use button. Frustration is a killer!
When the Golem dies, it simply drops the Explosive Jar, which then can be blown up. Seems like it's designed as either a safer way to deliver explosives to an actively defended base, or it's kinda like Martyrdom from COD where the Golem can do one last burst of damage as it dies
Hi I find a video and I think someone stole your content or maybe you have an agreement with him to use your footage of the game I prefer to send you the link of the video in private
Iv gotten crystalline pieces from sorcerer s around the map, but out of the 20 slain only gave 2 pieces a crystalline torso and a leg. They are super tanks but slow on attacks and they dont level up. They don't seem to heal as well with my full authority They never regain the health from boosted stats from following. As far as "farming" its pretty easy to get around the fact of encumbrance... max encumbrance and a good thrall...nearly infinite gathering room. Golem is cool but a waste of time in my opinion.
@@Eradicati0nn Don't worry, it was more because I saw you with that armor and a katana and confused me a bit (I'm very new in the game also) see an strengh armor with an agility weapon
@@TioFranTV OH you mean character build 😂 I thought you meant the workshop you can see in the video, my bad. I generally just throw on whatever armor looks good, as the combat footage is generally b-roll for the subject of the video. However, you could make an agility build and have strength armor as an override. At the Thaumaturgy bench you can craft illusions for your armor that can make it look like other armor pieces, so you can wear true agility armor whilst having the appearance of strength armor
I'll be honest, it kind of bugs me that even non-sorcerer exiles get access to these things :/ THey already have an easy enough time with-- well, basically everything. I kind of wish golems were restricted to sorcerers only since us spellcasters have already sacrificed a hell of a lot, with lower health, stamina (which had a bigger impact than I initially realized), build options, and arguably even more material consumption with spell component costs.
Dude ..if you corrupted yourself correctly you are so strong that you can absolutely destroy the arena champion like it is nothing. Your followers are insanely strong and they heal you.
Conan Exiles is personal choice they give you a choice how you like playing in game a option to play how you want to play if you want to gather tunes of resources well you can do that or play the game like you always did before sorcery update your choice the new updates are just optional they are there if you want to gather resource faster it's really good if you want to build a big base faster then before you don't have to take for months to build your base takes days now it's pretty much however you like playing in game no strings attached for resources like stones and such anyway it's also good for PvP so you can get right back in the game and start playing again what they could do is lower the amount you get from the harvesting spell a little since we have golem's now in game so it's not to easy an maybe lower the amount a little for golem's as well long as they can harvest more then the player in game if not they will be useless to use in game wont be no point having them if so, so another words if you put your expertise perk all the way up and choice efficient harvester and then choice beast of burden you harvest 30, 40 or more stone with each hit with a pick or pickaxe depends witch pick you have i use a star pickaxe my last bonus hit is 75 stone so the golem would have to harvest a little more or about the same to make it even with the max harvesting that players can do with a tool in game using the knowledge expertise or there will be no point having them if they harvest lower resources then you and I think it should go by expertise skill if you put more skill points in to expertise then the golem will always harvest more then you can the more points you put in the more your golem can harvest but long as they always harvest a little more then you can or the same so it won't make them useless it would be pointless having golem's if they only harvest a little of resources noone would use them only for deco in game but I never used them in game yet so not sure how they work yet and I'm not sure how many golem's you can use to have harvest for you so what I said how they should work might not work if you can have a lot of golem's harvest for you then what i said should be lower amount they can harvest then if you can have 2 harvest for you then it should be some what lower resource gathering then you or the same as you it should go by the knowledge perk Authority as well if you have the skill all the way up and for the last skill you chose war party then the golem's resource gathering should be lowered maybe by 70% or 85% reason I say between 70% or 85% and not lower because you might have only 1 golem instead of two following you and 1 thrall maybe 1 bearer and 1 golem one for holding resources one for gathering and you have a choice for the authority perk war party either bring 2 golem's to gather more resources or 1 golem and 1 bearer to hold more resources and gather less resources witch ever way works for you like I said I never used the golem's yet so it could be already like how I said so I don't know how they work at the moment to I experience how they work
I think it should be only unlockable after you get the final page of the kurak tome (like the teleportory stones) it'd make a lot more sense. I don't corrupt myself or really use sorcery yet despite having unlocked it all, but it'd be a good reward for all the tedious material gathering for the book.
WIsh weapons on golems is little changeable, I can see my golem guards at bases using iron axes with main mining golems using steel hammers, I am just not fan of looks of iron hammers and steel axes for personal reasons.
Yeah I do wish you could either change them, or transmog them. It kinda makes some sense that you can't swap arms on the fly, as it seems the weapons are grafted into the Golem's arm, but some customization would be nice. I'm not sure if the Bazaar or Battle Pass skins will adjust the weapon
@@edvinasmotiejunas9543 Get the Golem Constructor feat from Master Carver Huang at the Camp of the Castaways, then open your Knowledge menu and go to the Sorcery tab. Below 'Basic Sorcery', there's the Golem Constructor menu with sub-skills there you have to unlock
If it's just in your base and never ends up fighting anything, it'll survive pretty much forever. It's just that any instance of damage it takes is irrepearable
Honestly I'm down for that idea. Could be a good place to use hard to acquire items like armor scraps from The Warmaker Dungeon, or something new introduced in a future piece of end-game content
You can acquire that scythe, it's actually the model used for the Scythe of Thag. The weapon of the demon that slaughtered the Khari, carried by clumsy hunks of metal and stone 😂
@@Eradicati0nn I meant for the purposes of harvesting plants... that type of scythe, lol. I don't know that I want to do the Wine Cellar dungeon for a stone scythe for harvesting at that point.
Golems are stupid why are they adding to the game when its a buggy mess and the combat system is broken and laggy makes no sense......please fix the game would be a better game if they fix the bugs
I personally love the idea of the golems. I played this game way back in the day before the slavery aspect of the game was introduced. I thought to myself, wow that sounds like a shitty idea. At the time I faintly remember the devs saying it was just something they were trying out and it wouldn't be a major part of the game. I stopped playing back then cause life got to busy for me and didn't have the time to play allot. I just recently started playing again and I was saddened and disappointed to see that slaving was now an encouraged part of the game loop. With rewards to boot, I know allot of people don't have issues with this but I do. So to me golems look to be a way where I can enjoy the Conan survival game that I fell in love with and not play as a slaver. Another quirk that I found funny is that back then the nudity option was just something you checked on or off in the preferences, not now tho. I had to research online and modify some code to get it to work here in Merika. So god forbid you play a game with a little T and A but slavery..... ehh it'll be fine. Good old Merika.
My opinion... they are fuckin useless... Good looking, but useless none the less, personally if they let us "dock" and "repair" the golems on the assembly bench for them i think it would be feel really cool while also mitigating any combat healing. I can already see it, a room full of those work benches in alcove, golems in each one awaiting activation or undergoing repairs. =D
So they nerfed followers so they could release a entire worthless level of follower later on??? NotSoFunCom at it again... They just don't know when to leave certain things alone and focus on fixing the many issues that have plagued the game since initial release.
