Does anyone still make gravy by adding flour the the roasting pan juices and stir, cooking for a minute then add stock or vegetable water (cabbage water makes the best gravy I think), stir to mix all ingredients until it’s thickened and golden brown. I like to add half to one teaspoonful of stock powder, or a stock cube to taste. Season with salt and pepper, yum. I used to have a bottle of Parisienne essence- a little bit while you’re stirring give a deeper brown curry. I have to admit, it’s a long time since I’ve made gravy this way.

To make a more flavorful fantastic gravy you would reduce the liquid in sauce pan by at least 1/3 or 1/2 before thickening You want to cook off all that excess water that was added
