@@DadhowdoI I agree! I like the idea of crunch and texture the water chestnuts and french fried onions bring. Most green bean casseroles are kind of slimy lol. This looks like it will be great! Thank you for sharing!
Dad, this is a beautiful and tranquil video for simply being a cooking tutorial, between your warm, calming voice and the background music. I love green bean casserole, but have never really understood how to make it, so this was also a very helpful video. Thanks so much for being our dad!
Love the ideas of adding the chopped water chestnuts and the crispy jalapeños. The only thing we do differently is mix the milk soup and pepper in the bowl, then fold in the beans and onions. And like you, we top with more of the crispy onions. We'll have to try one with the jalapeños. Thanks for all you share. Best wishes to you and yours!
So I make a grn bean casserole but I don't like the French onions... so I add some horseradish to the mix and some cheese. I then cover the top with bread crumbs and a little melted butter to top and bake. Water chestnuts are a great idea!!❤
This is a great video, thank you for posting. I always enjoy green bean casserole yet I’ve never actually made it for myself and I hadn’t heard of adding the water chestnuts. I’ll definitely give it try ❤
I made this for thanksgiving for the first time using the recipe on the Campbell’s website. I thought it was a little bland, but everyone else said it was really good.
i had water chestnuts a long time ago and forgot what they were called and for years i’ve tried to find them or remember what they were called and this miraculous video finally reminded me of them and i can finally stop my search
