HOW TO MAKE HAITIAN SPAGHETTI/HAITIAN SPAGHETTI WITH SAUSAGE

Welcome back to my channel!!! I kept this video short and sweet for you guys who want to learn how to make Haitian spaghetti. It wasn’t until I married my husband that I learned about haitian spaghetti and I picked up on the method after watching some of the women his family cook haitian spaghetti. I also learned that people actually eat it for breakfast! As someone who came from a Jamaican family, the concept of eating spaghetti for breakfast was new to me but I embraced it once I tasted how delicious it was! Check the ingredients!
You’ll need:
3/4 of the box of spaghetti (I didn’t use an entire box, just most of it)
1 Hillshire Farm Smoked Beef Sausage
1 tbsp of salt (to salt the pasta water)
1/2 onion (red or yellow)
Handful of chopped green pepper
Handful of chopped red pepper
1 chicken boullion cube
1 large spoonful of tomato paste
1 large spoonful of epis

I know this is an old comment, but if you can get your hands on some pumpkin puree and add a white vinegar and salt to it, that should be an okay subsitute.

Yes you can use green seasoning. Épis is green seasoning but we Haitians call it épis its the equivalent to sofrito and the other islands green seasoning. This is coming from a Haitian yes you can use green seasoning it’s the same thing.

🙆🏿‍♀️🤦🏿‍♀️ I added too much liquid, and did not saute the tomato paste long enough with the sausages. But something is missing this don't taste the same as like my friend's Mom, my friend, or my co-worker makes it, it needs that Haitian love on it...☺🤗

Its basically onion , Scoth bonnet pepper, scallions, green pepper. Yellow red pepper tyme or anything u feel the flavor for in it . Blend all together with a little oil or water . Store in a container and fridge it . And use it for all your purpose seasoning for any type of cooking that require seasoning.
