As an alternative to juice, for those with blood sugar issues, I have seen products that use flavored teas instead of juices as the liquid in the recipe.
I believe I've used a heaping tablespoon of gelatin, 1+ scoop of protein powder and just added additional water. I've also used Greek yogurt. Use a whisk as that's the best so it comes out smooth. I just eyeballed the liquid. Less is better and add where required. It comes out excellent.
I watched this 3 x to realize it really was this easy to make. Ordered the Aspen Beef Gelatin you recommended (linked on Amazon) and made my first homemade Gello thanks to this simple recipe. I chose Ocean Spray Cran-Grape, only additional ingredient was 2 Tsp of powdered Vit C ascorbate. Now that's a wow with a twang! What a delightful treat. I may eat the entire batch in two sittings (but I'm a grown-up and make up my own rules) Thanks Kayla very much appreciated your healthy, quick and delicious recipe. I hope everyone would give this a try, whoever does will not regret it.
@@mitty2575 /Hey, appreciate the reply and I will check out acerola berry. Originally meant to type 'Ascorbic' rather than ascorbate because I enjoy the tanginess of Vit C's and have always added a < 1/2 Tsp Lemon or Lime extract into an 8oz glass of juice to cut down the sweetness. I always choose nonGmos and no high fructose anyway, but all fruit berry juices taste sweet. Of recent I've been led to believe ascorbic is necessary in activating not only ascorbate but helps in mineral uptake into our bodies as well, so forever learning. However we get C don't become a statistic to scurvy. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!
So I just made my first batch a few hours ago (cranberry juice) and I loved it so I am already making another (cranberry and apple cider). I love this. Thank you
i see why you look so fabulous, it’s because you make this amazing jello! i had no idea beef gelatin had these amazing benefits, i’ll definitely be making this to have in my fridge all the time!
Hi Kayla! I tried this recipe with apple juice and it came out fantastic! Wondering what else I can make with the gelatin. Would love to see a pudding recipe! Thanks for all you do!
How much of the jello should an adult eat for muscle, joints, and skin improvement? In other words, how many days should this recipe last if eating it as a nutritional supplement? Thank you
Hey there! Just wondering when about's you stir in fruit? When I was using the pkg junk, I think it gave times like 20-30min (or until it just starts to set. What do you think about that? I use jello to make our fabulous cranberry sauce recipe go further!!
Yay🤗 I'm finally able to watch my girl Kayla's video when she uploads it! This sounds delicious and I really like how easy and healthy this jello is to make! Thank you Kayla for sharing this delicious homemade recipe💖💜

Hi Kayla. I'm new to your channel. Thank you so much for this recipe. Have you tried Sea Moss? I know it thickens and it's good for you. I was considering adding it to the gelatin as well. 🙂
This is great! Do you think I could get away with trying to add some desiccated organ powder in this as well? I'm Trying to find an easier way for my toddlers to eat some organ meats.
Hi Kayla, yes! I love your jello recipe -- i made mine with fresh grapes that i juiced and strained. Fantastic. But what I REALLY want to know is the brand of saucepan or pot you used and where you got it! I love that! Thank you ❤️
Thank you thank you for making and posting this!! I am always on the lookout for healthy recipes for my toddler son with ezcema and paleo friendly!! Thank You!! 😊🎀🎀💕💕💕💕💕💕
Would be perfect for him! My nephew’s (also a toddler) eczema has gotten so much better since including gut healing foods and homemade jello with gelatin powder is one of the snacks they always give him ☺️
Follow mixing 2 Tb gelatin powder and 3/4 cup of juice and sit for 5 min, the texture is loose with some liquid not like the video shows… All for healthy snacks!
Things that make a difference are...... heaped or level table spoons and the size of the cup. Which is why I prefer measurements in either grams or ounces for dry ingredients and milligrams or liquid ounces for liquid ingredients. American cup is 240 ml but United Kingdom, Australia and Canada cups hold 250ml.
There's no secret to this. People have been making healthy gelatin desserts for decades. You start with a base of unflavored gelatin. Then add your choice of no sugar added juices or fruit sauces. You can mix juices and add pieces of fruit if you want to. An alternative would be to use any flavor of tea that you like instead of or with juice or fruit sauce. If using tea without the juice or fruit sauce, you will need to sweeten it, but don't use processed or artificial sweeteners. Use raw honey or another healthy alternative. For a cool and healthy hot weather snack, freeze portions of fruit sauces. It's like eating sorbet. YUMMY! 😋😃
I'm about to rewatch this one. All of the others weren't making any sense. Sugar free jello has 1mg of protein and I couldn't see how that could be significant. But beef gelatin, with 8 mg of protein, might be significant. So I'm rewatching.
I’ve actually tried that before and found that it made my smoothies too thick. It wasn’t bad but I prefer the collagen peptides because they blend better. ☺️
I followed the recipe but used pom juice, does anyone know why my jello didn't set like hers? I put it in molds and its breaking when I tried taking them out.
Can you leave this set out and dry like rock candy or will it not harden like Agar Agar and Sugar? Would rather use these products because they would be healthier for diabetics.
It doesnt work with 2 tablespoons of gelatin. I am bummed out. I have exactly the same gelatin you used. I am bummed out that i had to reheat and add more gelatin in the morning
I’m gonna add less juice and try to make gummies cause I absolutely love gummies but can’t eat them cause most brands use pork jello 🤮 plus all the sugar they add is ridiculous
