How to Make Homemade Granola

This granola is so easy to make and you may already have most of the ingredients to prepare it! Here's what you will need:
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. maple syrup
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt
3 c. old-fashioned oats
1 c. sliced almonds
1 c. unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 c. dried fruit (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
2. In a medium sized bowl, combine the oil, honey, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
3. Add in the oats, almonds, and coconut. Stir well to coat.
4. Spread the oats out onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, and take out to stir around. Bake for another 10 minutes and stir once more.
5. The last 10 minutes is crucial to be sure you do not over cook the granola. Check every few minutes to be sure it's all turning golden brown and the almonds have toasted.
6. Remove from the oven and let cool. If adding dried fruit, add it to the granola after it comes out of the oven.
7. Once cooled, store in an airtight container. it can be stored at room temperature for up to a month, but honestly don't think it will last that long in your pantry! Enjoy!!
