OMG. THIS RECIPE IS TO DIE FOR. I am at a young age to start cooking but let me tell you, these are the BEST meatballs I have ever tasted. I really do recommend this recipe. I am going to make meatballs and cheesy garlic bread for my family on Friday. Can't wait. The cheesy garlic bread made by her is absolutely delicious. I really recommend it
Laura you are so lucky to have a sweet grandmother I have seen the video of yourself and your Nona in her kitchen in Italy God bless you and your family . I love her little garden when you are getting to her door so lovely that's one of the most beautiful little garden I have ever seen
I made this for my husband tonight and it was a huge hit. I added a touch of garlic powder to the sauce (our personal preference, I like it in there) and served it over garlic bread with Italian Cheese Blend on top. I made a big batch to freeze a couple of portions for lunches for him later. He went on and on about how delicious it was! Thanks for making me look good! -3
Thank you so much for this delicious recipe. I made it today for me and my partner and we LOVED it!! Amazing! It went straight to my favorite recipes notebook. Thank you from Holland!
Boy am I glad I found this video. I was doing meatballs completely wrong. I know every recipe is different but there are some good points in this video, like braising the meatballs first and not letting the sauce steam and collect water. I can't wait to try this! Looks awesome.
I remember following this recipe more than 7 years ago and to this day I can recall how delicious the meatballs tasted. I’m planning on making this dish over the weekend again, thanks Laura xox
...WOW Laura!! First of all, thank you so much for sharing your gift! I LOVE Italian cooking, and I was fortunate to have been mentored by an uncle of mine (by marriage, last name"D'agostino") who was a professional chef all his adult life... I can honestly say that he would be VERY proud of you!! He passed on back in 1986, and I am forever grateful to him... ALL of your videos are absolutely THE BEST!!
I've made these meatballs about 5 times. They are a huge hit with my family and friends. I've made these for my best friend and his partner's anniversary. They did not shut about them for a week. Thanks so much for this recipe, Laura. In fact, thank your grandma for me. I'm sure she's lovely.
Every time I need help on making Italian food I always come to your page ;) Love your recipes Esp the Italian ones Thnx for the video Laura Can't wait to make this
Lauraaaaa I love all your recipes. Sometimes I spend all day watching your videos and just absorbing all your good tricks. Today I made Swedish Meatballs for my family, I would love to see your version of it.
Love these Meatballs!!! I am a novice cook and this is pretty easy and all my friends think I am the best Meatball man. Thanks for helping me. The Merlot was something I never considered. Wine in something as simple as meatballs.
This is now my family's favorite. To make it more simple, I blitz garlic, pieces of brown bread, garlic and basil then carry on with the rest. Thanks Laura 😊👏🏼
the merlot in the sauce has changed my life forever. I served it over cauliflower "rice", and o.m.g. Explosion of flavors in my mouth! lol even my picky fiancé loved it!
hi laura, i was born and i live in Pompei, and this recipe is exactly the same recipe my grandmother used to make and that my mother makes, i love the fact that you always remember your italian part
Excellente! No more frozen italian meatballs in this household thanks to your recipe... I just made it for my kids who love meatball sandwiches and they LOVED it! It was so simple and they came out so moist and delicious... Thank you so much and keep sharing your awesome recipes :)
Made these meatballs the other night to go with Laura's baked Ziti recipe. The meatballs with the sauce were outstanding. Some of the best meatballs ever! Follow the steps, and they'll turn out excellent. Epic delicious
I did those today and they came out so great I can't even describe it´even though I had to cheat a bit because it was a kinda sudden decision to make them when I was on my way home from school so I wasn't sure what exactly I needed and I substituted some stuff. But the technique to make the meatballs was extremely helpful to keep them nice and moist and tender. This will definately be one of my newest go to recipies! Thanks so much for everything from Austria! :D
it tried this TODAY AND IT WAS A HIT!!!! I was known in my family as the one that can't cook and there stories about my kitchen disasters. But this simple recipe changed everything for me and my rep for cooking. Thank you for your easy to follow recipes!!!!
I remember family parties when all the Fathers would just take out a huge table and fill it with meat and stuff and we'd all do meatballs, We could have like at least 300meatballs that we'd froze and take back home. We did once every year it is an amazing childhood memory!! Thank you for bringing it back !
My family is from Naples. My Mother use to save old bread heals then soak them in water and squeeze all the water out of the bread then add all the ingredients after, she made her meat much bigger and put her meatballs on a paper towel to take the grease out.
God Bless your Gramma for this recipes. I couldnt wait until Sunday to try this recipe:) ....I used beef only(we dont eat pork)and I only had purple onions home but this dish is more then fabulous!! Thank you!
It's inside the meatballs. Garlic and basil ARE really strong stuff; I made her recipe a lot of times (Yes, ME, and my friends + family loved them) and just a little garlic / basil already perfumes the meat mixture by a lot. BTW thanks to Laura xP girls like guys who can cook good food you know, and you made me one :)
Thank you, Laura! Now I can finally make good meatballs and sauce. For years my meatballs were hard and flavorless! I made it for a crowd yesterday and everyone loved it!
Awesome balls...tender as heck!! I used a diff. sauce but the balls still worked out the same and I'm so impressed with them that they are now in my recipe box. Thanks.
hi Laura!!! I'm in college and I live in a dorm with a full kitchen, and today I made your meatballs, and garlic bread for my floor and we loved it!!!!!!!! Thank you for all your videos, and keep them coming. :)
I have to squish 2 or 3 flat while frying cuz there's NOTHING like fried meatballs all on their own!! Mouth watering as usual when I'm watching Laura!!
Very close to how my parents made meatballs...they were always so tender and delicious using a splash of milk..actually evaporated milk! Thanks Laura..great cooking!

I am making a spaghetti place with Christmas Dinner this year. I decided to use this recipe for the meatballs! I have never made them before and this seems not only good but very easy! this video made me subscribe.
These are absolutely delicious. Comes out perfect every time. I've found adding some fresh chili to the meatballs really works for me. I have even made them using the leanest meat I could find, and they still come out juicy and tender. Great recipe Laura! :)
Laura, Thank U So Much For This Homemade Italian Meatball Recipe !!.....It Sure Looks Like A Winner And A Must Try!! I'm So Looking Forward To Trying This Very Soon !!
You are great! I've just found your channel and my say you are genius! I like that everything you cook is easy to remake by yourself and I like the way you explain thing! Thank you for doing it!
Hi Laura :-) I made this last night and it turned out GREAT!!! was my first time making spaghetti and meatballs. ;-) I love watching your videos. thanks!
Yeah, I make meatballs very similar like Laura. I use and ice cream scoop to ensure the same size meatballs. Also I use garlic powder instead of a clove.
Ikr I'm so hungry right now laura keep with the steak videos I'm literally drooling over them and a tip I wouldn't waist a good bowl for the egg but it does serve a good purpose
That is true Napolitan meatball making☺ We make it this way in our family. My grandmother was from Naples, and taught us the same, but we use store-bought bread crumbs. They are so very tasty this way, and so easy. Now eggplant? oh, so much work, a whole other video for that.
