New projects homemade lathes bed (second lathe)
Hello RU-vidr, today I’m glad to share my new second homemade lathes.
I do happy to make a bigger size because my first lathe the size is a bit small, when milling a big plate of thick metal is not easy because the length is not enough space to milling than the plate metal I used is thin most are 10 mm thick.
So I decided to make a new lathe bigger than the previous lathe. Now there is enough experience to make a new lathe also.

Thanks for your best watching. I do love my homemade but everything that expectations is not sound the plan because I spend over my budget compared to my income and hard work because don has any tools and equipment. Now not sure keep doing it or not. Thank you again

The littler rubber things are called way wipers or just wipers for short. I have to say that I have been following along with this build for quite a while now and you have amazed me several times. Getting all that fabricated, assembled and actually working with a bare minimum of tools and equipment is an astounding feat.

Thank you, Mr. For your information, it is super crazy that I can make this lathe but don't know the material. @@mr.ranyhomemade2466 Keep going with it as you can. You need to make some step pulleys for the headstock and motor so you can adjust the speed. Should be no time that you can use this machine to make money with making and repairing things for your community. Don't give up now.!

Thank you for your urge, I want to make a menu gearbox but can not find it so my next is to use a pulley but the metal here cost very high. I try to change this lathe-like professionally like a factory lathe if found gears. But time because by hand is not an easy way to make. Thank you

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 you might try finding a gearbox from a small motorcycle that has been junked out. Just a thought...

Hi sir, I' been following your progress and it is amazing, let me say, after all this adjust work, should be a waste if you lost your precision quickly, so please consider to use some wear prevent material between the metal parts as the ways You can look for zedex, turcite, moglice or some polimer It could be glued in the ways and avoid the contact metal to metal

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 I having similar problems to get thinks online here in Brazil, my homemade lathe project is similar to your and times ago I was considering to use as wear prevent Nylon from that meat cut table or barbecue cut table, it easy to find then unless here in Brazil It is the same nylon that we use for make parts and resist a lot, very similar to zedex
