How to make DIY reusable cleaning and disinfecting wipes, using fabric wipes and a handful of ingredients you probably already have in your household cleaning stash.
↓↓↓↓↓ REUSABLE CLEANING WIPES HOW-TO BELOW ↓↓↓↓↓
Reusable cleaning wipes are easy to make, and they're especially helpful for cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, an RV or camping trailer, vehicles, and more.
Disclaimer: These disinfectant wipes have not been lab tested. While these wipes do contain certain antimicrobial ingredients, they haven't been lab-tested against viruses such as the virus that causes COVID-19. This recipe was intended for use on "typical, everyday" germs. Always check with your health care professional or consult the CDC website for best disinfectant choices and practices for you and your family. Also, do your own research, use good judgment, and practice safe cleaning procedures, as well as good hygiene.
INGREDIENTS:
1 3/4 cups warm water
1 ounce castile liquid soap (I use Dr. Bronner's)
1/2 cup isopropyl alcohol (at least 70%)
10 drops tea tree oil
10 drops lemon oil
5 drops cinnamon oil
20 flannel baby wipes
1 airtight glass container or jar
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Add warm water, castile soap, and alcohol to a clean jar.
2. Add drops of tea tree oil, lemon oil, and cinnamon oil.
3. Whisk to combine ingredients.
4. Place the wipes down into the liquid mixture in the jar, one wipe at a time.
5. Close the lid, and shake the jar so that the wipes soak up more or all of the liquid.
6. Squeeze out any excess liquid as you remove the wipes to clean.
Laundering Tip: You can wash these wipes, using the hot water cycle on your washer.

I'm getting into this now. The expense to start is hefty. But, I'll be saving so much money in the long run. Thank you!

I can’t wait to try these. Question. Do you like your greenhouse window? I have always wanted one

Thank you! I do and I don't. I love the light that it gives our plants; it's a great place for our plants. Then again, it lets in a lot of heat in the summer and cold in the winter. So it's a toss up for me.

I don't think the ratios are euqal to give you a total of 60% containment of alcohol. I saw a scientist explain how the ratio is crucial and to use a glycerine into the mixture if you're tying to make it palpable for repeated use on your hands. But if you're just using this to just wipe down surfaces, I guess it does some of the job with the castile soap but not exactly gentle on hands. There is no way this mixture would be used in a clinical setting but not sure what the goal is to do this but I'd use this to wipe down my coffee table, shelves but my kitchen counters I'd want the appropriate amount as food does touch my countertops

Wonderful video. I like your explanations of your choices.. I think I'd like to do this. I'm hesitant on whether it would be more frugal to make my own cloth or to order them but time is money and I have more time than money, but sewing is a big project. Hmm. Just want to remind other viewers that, while essential oils are nice, to be careful if you have a pet cat. While any essential oil can be dangerous to a cat undiluted, tea tree oil especially is exceedingly toxic to cats, so you might want to leave that out, or make sure to only use those with Tea Tree well away from where your cat can come into contact. i.e. Not on floor or low cabinetry where they will walk or rub their faces. Tea Tree oil is not nearly as toxic to dogs, and some recommend it for "natural flea treatment" but don't use it in a home with a cat as they are likely to groom and make themselves very very ill. Sorry for the long PSA, but I wanted to make sure everyone and their pets stay safe. Cheers.
