Rossella talks to much and she's to loud. I saw Nona getting a little miffed at least twice, other than that this is an excellent production. Everybody should have a Nona like Theresa.

@@cherylvalentine693 LOL, no she is not my sister. I just ran across the is video. Seriously Cheryl, you need to relax, what if I am her sister? You just told me to "f--k off." Well, that makes sense, you are insulting the host, yet looking at her videos and you tell her new guests to "f--k off." Your comments are hostile and not really fun. You are a very negative one. Anyway. bye.

As soon as she said pecorino romano cheese only, I knew this recipe was awesome. There is something about that cheese in meatballs that takes it to a new level! Pasta looked amazing! What a wonderful Nonna! My wifes Nonna is 99 years old and still cooking these meatballs for us just like Nonna Theresa. These women are a blessing from GOD!

I love pecorino Romano it's more salty slightly Tangy from the sheeps milk. Parmigiano is nutty and not so sharp. Sometimes I use both.👍

PLEASE find a nonna that makes the meatballs with pine nuts, and raisins! PLEASE! My mom used to make them and I miss them soooooo much! I was told once that they were typically Sicilian, but that could be incorrect. I KNOW, for a fact, that it's NOT an AMERICAN "thing." I know it's directly from Italy, because my mom learned from her grandmother who was from Italy. YES, I can find RECIPES online, but it's not the same as watching a REAL NONNA make them. Please, please, PLEASE find a nonna that makes these, they are SOOOOOO DELICIOUS! (My mom made them with golden raisins for me, because I dislike dark raisins. It makes them sweeter, but they're soooooo good!)

I enjoyed watching you cook your pasta especially homemade. My grandma came from Italy she lives with us so she did all the cooking and it was divine I miss grandma family a lot. But I also learned how to cook the way she did. Now I my five children my two girls and my three boys they love to cook. I say watch what your mother does, and now you do what I do. And why did they cook they even bake cookies . And their biscotti are fabulous. Love cooking with my kids and I want them to carry on my tradition. Thank you for sharing love your show salute🍷🍷🍷

After your oil has cooled you can put it thru a fine mesh strainer to clean it. Put it in a jar or a container with a tight lid and keep it in the fridge until you make meatballs again. Just add a little more oil as needed. There's a lot of flavor in that oil!
@scssimpson
@scssimpson 6 лет назад
The best explanation of the difference between a sauce and gravy I've read was a gravy starts by deglazing pan drippings after frying, baking or roasting something, usually meat. If it starts with stock or other wet ingredients like tomatoes, and there are no pan drippings involved, it's a sauce. Very simple distinction.

The way we prepared it in this episode it's an Italian American. However, especially in southern Italy you will see many pasta dishes with tiny meatballs in them. I'm from Puglia and we eat a dish called Maritati with polpettine. Very Italian.
