This is as authentic and as top-notch as it gets, my god, even the background music and coreography. An old man taught me how to make horchata when I was a teen but I’ve forgotten. This video was a good refresher.
This is the best video !! I love how natural you guys are and lovely!! That recipe is perfect! Thank you and lots of hearts for you and your family ❤❤❤
Single man living alone: Oh good I'm going to learn how to make Horchata! *5 minutes later* Dear Lord, that's enough for 20 people! *decides to make it as is anyway because he's a gluttonous fool with no willpower*
I guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
Great recipe. I tried this today, and OMG. . . . It was so delicious. Everybody loved it even my daughter that is not a big fan of Horchata. She said she loved this one. Thank you for posting this recipe.
My granddaughter and her mother and I love horchata😋. My granddaughter asked if I could make some for Christmas. I told her I would have to find a recipe. I'm glad I saw your video. The portions you used looked just right. You did a very nice job. I will make it for Christmas and let you know what they think. Thanks for the video and recipe.
Hi Giselle, I made this yesterday with a friend, not only was it easy, it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the video and the recipe. I was also glad to see at the end of your video it was..... kid approved!
I'm so glad I come across your recipe before I make this horchata. It does makes more sense to me to add a little bit of water and a whole gallon of milk 🥛...Other recipes add too much water.
2:16 “Its called lechera” “Lechera? 🥺” That part was so whole some man also thank you for the recipe! I’ve always wanted to start making my own instead of relying on my abuelita for it lol
Yumm thank you for sharing! My husband is going to love this!! And me 😂 i saw someone on tik tok say it was authentic way to make horchata was milk and torani cinnamon flavor syrup and cinnamon. 😂 I was thinking 🤔 no this isn’t the way 😊. I can’t even imagine how many great recipes and meals are shared in that kitchen ❤❤❤❤
Yummmm! Horchata is our favorite drink so glad for this recipe can't find it here in FL where we are after leaving San Diego. Miss all of the taco shops back there!
I love this video especially the cute girl talking in the back round she is super cute she made this video even better u deserve 1 million subs keep up the great work
Absolutely love your videos, so a question well 2 really lol, first one do I need to rise the rice before soaking, and if I only want to make 1 gallon can I just cut the recipe in half or will it take away from the flavor? Thank you ❤️
Thank you! 😊 Sorry for the late response haven’t been on here much 😅 But you do not need to rinse out the rice before soaking it with cinnamon sticks overnight and yes you can most definitely cut the recipe in half and if you’d like it sweeter you can always add more lechera as you go! 😊
Simple and easy enough, I'm definitely giving it a try. Just one quick question, Do I wash the rice thoroughly, then put fresh water and keep it in the fridge overnight?
Hi Paoula 😊 No you don’t have to wash the rice beforehand just add the water and store in the fridge either in the morning to use at dinner time or overnight whichever way works!
Hello Christine! 😊 So 4 cups of water will go in a container along with 3 cups of rice and let that sit over night or for at least 6 hours. Blend that up, then to the 2 gallon beverage container add 4 cups of water. I hope you enjoy!
Just came across your video. ... How does this keep? If you don't drink all 2 gallons in one day, do you leave on counter or refrigerate? Does it get too watery cus of the ice when left for the next day?
Help!! I have been soaking my rice for 20 hours and it’s still pretty crunchy! But when I blended it in my blender, I had absolutely no pieces left in my strainer. and my Horchata is kind of pasty. I soak it too long?
So I definitely recommend soaking it for 6-8 hours it’s possible the longer the rice soaks it could change the consistency of the beverage at the end. Definitely try again and let me know how it goes! 😊
