I made turkey sausage patties using this recipe tonight and fried a tester and oh boy oh boy DELICIOUS!!! Love this recipe. I’d even say it’s a great base for turkey burgers. This is a keeper-it’s going straight into my favorite recipes notebook. Thank you for sharing!!!
Im gonna try this and use it to make biscuits and gravy! I dont like to use pork sausage for that because it has so so much fat that if you store it the gravy gets fat clumps in it... so THANKS :)
If you use heritage, non gmo and pasture raised turkey, the fat is actually good for you and your brain especially needs it, as your brain is 65 percent fat and to function and rebuild cells it needs healthy fat. Fat from industrial turkeys, hogs, and chickens and beef, yes you should avoid the fat as those animals are stressed and the toxins in the confinement environment store in the fat. But the difference between industrial and pasture-raised is like night and day.
Yes! But it’s exactly the kind of recipe I was looking for to substitute Turkey for pork so I can lower the potassium in my friends renal/dialysis diet.
was that dark meat turkey or all white meat? next time try adding the spices with a little water mix them up then add to the meat that way you have no lumps in it
