Funny that you said this...A friend, who will be travelling to the US this week, I asked her to buy 2 bags of ginger bullas. Her husband said, these nowadays bullas are not the bullas of old.
Back in my school days we use to say " bulla, bulla, soft and tender, when I bite it, it will surrender " 😂. Who remembers hearing that; perhaps you have to be a certain age to recall this😅. Thanks Adrian for sharing this recipe, and for preserving this tradition of our homeland. Keep on sharing your talent and love for cooking.
God is an awesome God. He is the same yesterday, today, and for evermore. He never fails but is always faithful. His goodness and mercy endureth forever and ever. The least we can do is give Him our highest praise.
Just stumbled onto your channel. I grew up in Queens, NY and there was a Jamaican store not too far from me. I used to walk there every time I had 2 dollars on me to buy a pack of these. They were freaking delicious. 3 came in a pack and I would slice it open, put a slice of cheese, warm it up and then all hell broke loose. You found yourself another subscriber. I will try to follow your recipe for this and other foods that I grew up eating. I'm already eyeing the fried dumplings on the side bar as I type this out to you. lol
Made them last month and it came out fantastic ,I live in flushing and went all the way to Jamaica Ave to get my cheese and some Jamaican goods .Please try and make some bears it just such a simple recipe !👍

Thank you so much for simplifying the steps. I always thought it was a big and tedious production. As always you are wonderful at what you do. May God continue to bless you and all your endeavors.
I definitely have to try this bulla recipe. I was going to buy some this weekend at the Caribbean store. They are always so dry and expensive. This will save me some money and I know what I am eating because I made it. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

I'm excited for this recipe chef. Havent had bulla in YEARS! One question though, why did you add more flour to the bowl? What's the consistency we should look for!
Wow, my favorite ❤. Now teach us to make the real cheese. Even th Jamaican cheese have ingredients I can't pronounce so I don't eat it. If I cannot pronounce ingredients, not going in my mouth. Definitely, will try this😊! Sorry Mrs. Morris, not been disrespectful but nothing more attractive than a man who can cook ❤
That really looks good I wish I could get one good job I learn something new today I am going to try it out myself. Keep up the good work, congratulations.
Hi Morris, I pray you and family are all well. I just wanted to know, I live in the uk, we have two types of flour one is plain flour that don’t rise and the other is self risen which we use for baking cakes etc. What is all purpose flour ?love your videos ❤
Adrian, send piece a di bulla come a Chicago muh, I can just imagine how good it is. I will definitely try it. Also that roti recipe is spot on the only thing I change was added a teaspoon of shaved margarine in the flour. Wicked
Awesome post. I would have love to have the fans who are not aware hear about the connection with the pear and the Bullah. We know it, but many may not. It's a fantastic pairing....no pun intended. 😅
Wow! Me never see nobody bake Bulla 😂... I'm pretty surprised it's something that ppl could bake at home. Only grow up seeing it in shops so I figured it's like mass produced or u need the old stove oven. Haha don't judge me 😅
