How to Make Kettlecorn - Martha Stewart 

One I learned how to make kettle corn on the stove, it became a staple in my house. Literally just 2 tablespoons of oil in a large (5-6 quart+) pot, throw in 2-3 kernels, put the lid on, leave it until all the kernels pop. Then dump in 1/4 cup of popcorn, toss to coat in the oil, pour 2 tablespoons and 1/4 teaspoon of sugar over the popcorn, toss to coat and just put the lid back on and keep the pan moving. Back and forth, side to side, circular, it doesn't matter, just keep it moving until it appears all the popcorn is popped and there's about 2-3 seconds in-between pops. Pour it into a bowl and enjoy!

They use "mushroom" popcorn which is what makes it puff up nice and fluffy and fat! The other type of popcorn is called "butterfly" and it's not as fluffy.

lol they have their own supplier... uh its only mushroom popcorn you can get it on amazon. pop weaver, magic mushroom, and hoosier hill are all great brands for mushroom popcorn.

Ingredients and directions: Heat up 5 tablespoons sunflower oil Test it with couple of popcorn kernels, when it pops add 1/2 cup yellow mushroom kernel And 1/4 cup sugar Keep stirring until all popped, then add 1 pinch of salt Mix well.

She pretends to engage in a conversation by asking questions but i notice she keeps cutting them off; especially, the gentleman who seems to be so enamored of her. lol

Use coconut oil instead. Sunflower oil is terrible for us.

You don’t need a crank you just need to keep the pot moving

Wow!!!Instead of stirring you get an ENTIRE HUGE new pot JUST for popcorn!(And people wonder how storage facilities make so much money!) Plenty ways to stir first heat the oil(can use other high smoke point oils, like Coconut,avocado), let it get hot on high heat for about 1.5minutes, then add sugar salt and corn kernels, and keep moving and shaking pot VS this lame thing, keep the lid on most of the time... the key is remove the lid after the rapid pops, at the last few seconds as it helps release the moisture. Once you do it, you will laugh at the idea of buying a huge pot just for popcorn. What a wonderful video, should be titled Fkkn Martha....American Icon.

So much for an informative cooling demo. Martha continuously interrupted her guests. How's that fall in line with good manners, proper etiquette and being a gracious "hostess" for someone who claims to be an authority on all three? #TalkLessListenMore

Everyone keeps commenting that Martha interrupted that man repeatedly, but that’s not how I saw it. He wouldn’t back off and let anyone else say or do anything. Martha kept asking Angie questions and her husband was talking over her and kept walking around all over the place, like a little league coach. Martha knows how to take control of a situation, and I bet there was a lot that went on before filming and she realized he would try and take over. It makes me wonder if he was really invited or if he just showed up with his wife. Seems controlling to me.

Terrific, but if you can't justify the storage space, a lidded pot will do, really. Given the cook's height and smaller frame, I'd call for a practical safety riser anyone can hop on to improve leverage.

Well.... I made popcorn like that and it was just a cheaper stuff and I noticed possibly could be my imagination that I had the fire incredibly hot and it popped like that and when it was low it gave the more traditional pop. But again possibly my imagination

I had to quit watching Martha's show years ago because she thinks she knows more than anybody else. Her daughter has even called her out on that on her radio program years ago.

I owned one of these. Bought it at a garage sale. Got rid of it. Nice idea. But ultimately...it takes up too much kitchen space. You can do all of this old fashion just shaking on a stove top with a medium-heavy-bottom pot.

I forgot just how annoying a woman could be. Her guest wasn't a lot better. The noise from the stoves , the popcorn makers, the popcorn itself and the audience along with Martha trying to out do her guest, repeating everything and those two women whining as they spoke made me cringing. I did however almost immediately go make some kettle corn. It had little to do with this video other than speed up the process.
