seriously???? I have a bag of kudzu ROOTS and looking for recipes. Anyone can make tea with a friggen TEA BAG! We did NOT learn how to make kudzu tea...we learned how to dip a tea bag into a cup of water...omg

You know without this video I would never have figured out how to boil water and add a teabag. What a douche, I'm trying to figure out how to prepare fresh kudzu root not put a damn store bought bag in a cup of boiling water...

A bit harsh, but I'm in the same boat ... just bought kudzu root for tea, but it's bulk root -- like wood chips -- so I'm just looking for some guidance. Boil the chips 30 minutes? Steep the chips in boiling water in a tea cozy? Something in between?

Are eHow videos satire or some kind of spoof? They never seemingly have anything right. Even my dog knows Kudzu is from Japan. It is not pronounced like an African tribe name. The first "u" sounds like "mud" and the second "u" sounds like "oo" It's like eHow just posts videos based on tags that have no real meaning just to get views.

@@TheConsummateArtist Amusingly, when I looked up "what is kuzu" I was told that kuzu is another spelling of kudzu. So, it would seem that kuzu _is_ kudzu.

First of all, if you heat the water too much, it will kill all the vitamins in the tea, therefore making it somewhat pointless to drink. Secondly, kudzu is a weed, an invasive weed in parts of the south, so please keep on drinking this tea.

No need to worry here. You can't heat water above its boiling point, unless it's in a pressure cooker, or a pressurized reactor. Your concern might be valid though, it one opted to boiling the tea bag for several minutes. Then, the temperature would stay at the boiling point, instead of cooling gradually towards room temp, mostly by the cooling assist of the steam released (which requires a fair amount of energy).
