I was with you until you cleaned the pan for the sauce. The drippings make the sauce! You let all the hard work from seasoning and cooking, extracting all that good flavor from the meat just to waste it. I cry.
I made these 1 month ago following this recipe exactly. And I never follow a recipe exactly, I always add , or omit something, but I really trusted her with this, no exaggeration. When I say this was just as amazing as her " oh yeah baby, no we're talkin" I'm so serious. My family tore it up, all you could hear while eating was.... smacking and "ummm". Even from my picky eaters. We loved it so much, I'm making it again tonight! I'm such a fan now. She is such an amazing person and cook!
My fiancee and i finally have the house to ourselves for the night. And on a whim i picked up some lamb and rice pilaf at walmart. and some yellow squash. You are a life saver, i made notes on your method and recipe and it turned out amazing! Thanks for the informative lesson! Love your video, food network doesn't take into consideration that not all chef's have a 10 thousand dollar kitchen setup and the rarest ingredients on earth haha. This is a fancy dinner, doesn't break the bank, and the lesson was easy to follow. Cheers.
I’ve made this meal today!! And this meal was off the chain! Lol! Ms Gina YOU ARE TRULY GIFTED at what you do !! YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR OWN RESTAURANT!! No question about that!! AND YOU HAVE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT !!! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! THANK YOU SO MUCH HUN!! I
I didn't grow up with lamb in the south, but once I moved to California, lamb became a part of my cooking profile. I was told mint jelly is popular because older lamb ie; mutton has a very gamey taste and the mint softens that. Most lamb today is spring lamb which is young and taste closer to beef. Loved your recipe and always appreciate the giggles too. Thank you!
Mrs Gina, I love to watch u cook if no more than to hear u talk. I love ur spirit, it's so beautiful. I love that u be sure to keep God in the midst. I stopped cooking pork chops, ribs n all until ur videos. U showed me how to to always have tender pork chops. Thx for blessing us with ur time n talent. B blessed 🙏
Have always eaten lamb chops in my home, growing up and now. Cooked in/ under the broiler with garlic powder salt pepper and butter. Going to try the pan next time, looks good. Have always had them but really not very often.
Love lamb chops! Great video Gina, as always. Looks delicious! And I love mint jelly too. Thanks for the tip about heating the jelly, I never thought of that, but I am going to do that next time. 😄💯💯💯
Your channel has made me feel like I have gone to culinary school!! My family loves my cooking!!! You have helped me broaden my horizons in the kitchen!!! thank you so much for sharing your talent!!!!
I bought some shoulder lamb shops at a local farm, but wasn't sure what to do with them. Went to the web and the first How-to that came up was the Lamb Shoulder Chop recipe and it just lured us in. We loved Gina's presentation and made the chops tonight and it was fabulously delicious. I subscribed immediately! The chops & sauce were absolutely delicious!!
I cooked the lamb shoulder and it was very good! I added rosemary and could not find Herb de provence at my market. The mint jelly was good with it. I think it takes away some of the gamyness of the lamb! I enjoyed it! Had rice pilaf and green beans and potatoes.
You are so right the sizes of those ! Lamb chops!! So I enjoy the shoulder! Luv your recipes! Sometimes I use Ceasars dressing. To base and seasons them too..👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Good Job! Catch them deals on those shoulders chops😉
Thank you Ms. Gina, I cook the lamb shoulder chops with the rice pilaf, and I had asparagus. The Meat came out Wonderful and Goood. appreciate you. Yummy to the taste. Thank you again.
Ms. Gina I made this today. I had lamb chops though. This recipe deserves some type of award! Why aren't you on food network yet????? Your energy, food, and spirit are just spot on!!!!!! Get you a agent. I need cookbooks from you and TV time. Ooooooweeeee. Ms. Gina you are a star. Can't wait until your name is in bright lights.
I don’t like lamb chops anyway! Glad you went with these. Going to be so yummy! I’m cooking a big pork roast and going to add potatoes, onions, carrots and I’m making fresh green beans that I canned out of my garden this year. Also I’m going to making homemade cornbread and probably Mac n cheese. Going to be a good meal! My hubby is gone Deer hunting and when he gets home he’s going to be a happy man.

Gina, making your lamb chop/shoulder chop recipe for the second time. I haven’t even put the food on the table but I have surely been tasting. And it is ABSOLUTELY wonderful.
I’ve never made lamb shoulders before. I am going to have to try your recipe. It didn’t seem too difficult and it looked great. Thank you for the video 🙏🏽
Lamb and mint sauce is traditional in the United Kingdom has been for many years.. Lamb is usually a fatty meat but has gotten leaner over the years. Lamb is my favourite meat😋
Is there a thing you haven't cooked!? I'm having lamb, asparagus, Greek salad & french bread, tonight. Never made lamb before. Gina, you came through for me, sis! I'll be grilling the lamb, but will absolutely be pouring this glaze over my lamb. God bless!
Wow, so many people not knowing the greatness of lamb. I'm glad you made this video. My family and I love lamb so I'm always looking for different ways to cook it. I just bought some from "Whole Check" and they look fantastic. I know they will come out good with your recipe. (Whole Foods) for those who are wondering. :)
Thanks for sharing, Chef Gina. I made it with chicken breast and added sliced mushrooms and fine chopped onions. I would love to make it with lamb, but couldn't find any. None the less, it was a huge hit! My wife loved it and my adult sons devoured it.
i love your video and your commentating, looks very good im gonna go to the store and collect everything i need. i was gonna smoke the chops but im going to try this recipe instead. thanks for sharing and god bless
I love when you make lamb chops because I learned how to make them from watching your videos I learned how to make a lot of stuff watching your videos the lamb meat is good because I do not eat beef or pork so lamb meat is my go to and it is so delicious
I love Lamb shanks from Costco ( frozen with their own gravy) but oooh my gosh are they good. Served with mash potatoes and asparagus..... yum.... yum.... 😍
this was absolutely fantastic! Was so glad I found you, Thank you!....it sucks though that I am the only 1 out of 8 in my family that loves lamb...so I have to wait for a home alone night to have lamb...cant wait to try some of your other stuff, and again thanx!
this is absolutely delicious. My daughters and I loved it. I cooked Lamb shoulders and neck slices but next is lamb chops!! Thanks . this is the only way theyll be cooked in my home
What's so hard about making Lamb Chops or any protein for that matter, just cook the thing, eventually you'll find a way that way like it best. Don't know why people fuss about food.
👋👋👋Heyyyy Gina. I've never tried lamb before, but it looks so savory. I've never even heard of mint jelly...I've got to call my 98 year old Grandma tomorrow & ask her about it.😆 Thanks so much for sharing your recipe, take care, & be blessed.
Hello Gina, may i call you GiGi since you like my native food so much....😄 i think you should sell Aprons with your terrific expressions like oooooo weeeee and you hear me....trust me on this....with your name Gina. I think they will sell like hot cakes just like your subby #'s are going......love your cooking Gina! God is Blessing!
Everything looks great, absolutely love, love, love the dark coloring of the lamb shoulder chops. The sauce sounds interesting minus the mint and mint jelly. 😘
This was a good take on cooking lamb shoulder. I cook mine with the mint jelly. You could substitute the jelly instead of honey. Also I love the flavor of tarragon better than the mint leaves. It really is amazing. You can also put this in the oven and it come out the same.
