Right girl I swear I say the same thing, ma girl asked me how much I used for certain things I make cuz she's making the same thing. And she was like you don't have to tell me if you don't want, but I told her I do not mind her asking because honestly our product will not turn out the same nmw. I do not mind helping ppl 💕 but I also like doing my own research because what works for me may not work for someone else u know.

Hello! I use Cocoa, Shea and Mango butter in my recipe. I love body butters but they can be very greasy as is, so I add a little bit of cornstarch into my melted butters and oils and it's turns out amazing. A little tip to test the greasiness is to put a spoon in the freezer and let it get cold, then dip it in the butter and oils...it will solidify and you can rub it on your skin to see if it took enough of the greasiness away. If not add a little bit more cornstarch and repeat. Shea butter can get "grainy" when it's over heated. I melt down everything but the Shea butter first and then add my Shea and let it slowly melt in with the residual heat of the other butter and oils. To do the whipping, I put the mixture in the freezer for about 30 minutes until it starts to solidify around the edges, take it out and whip it and repeat that process a couple of times and it comes out beautifully light and fluffy. Stay safe and have a great day...Big ((Hugs)) from Texas! xx : )

The basics steps to create a label is to 1. chose your containers; 2. design a label that fits; 3. find a local to you or on-line labels or stickers printer. We used a local to Austin printing company for these labels, but have used this company successfully, they have different size label templates that you can choose from: www.onlinelabels.com/

What do you do if you were to mix aloe Vera gel with Shea butter? Do I put it in the fridge after adding the aloe Vera gel?
@Isabella-lm5ep
@Isabella-lm5ep 4 года назад
The aloe vera will separate from the formula because it is water based. When you mix a water soluble ingredient to an oil or butter, you also need to add 1. an emulsifier that holds them together, and 2. a preservative to avoid mold creation.
@anitachaudhary7224

Is it best to leave the butters unwhipped and whip only the amount needed to fill an order? Or do you whip it all at once and leave it then re-whipp for orders with different essential oils and colorant?
@shardellecarter5597
@shardellecarter5597 4 года назад
Hey Karen I think it's best to whip in small batches to give customers a fresh batch. I just started selling so I whip a very small amount. When more orders come then I will increase my batch. As far as different scents you can just whip up a large batch and separate into 2 bowls add fragrance and whip 1 at a time(if you have more than one stand mixer God Bless you lol). Dont forget to clean off the attachment if you only have 1. I almost mixed 2 scents that way lol 🤦🏾‍♀️

I love this , can you let me know please how to keep the body butter from hardening ?
@BetterSheaButter
@BetterSheaButter 2 года назад
Hi!! Butters will always harden based on temperature - it's in their nature! However, I've found that whipping twice really does the trick to keep it creamy and whipped :) Always make sure to use no more than 60% butters - that will keep it very hard if you use a higher percentage than that.

Awesome video! I was wondering (maybe you answered this already) how do you figure out the percentages of your carrier oils and essential oils?

Hello I think I got the entire recipe to make the large batch but the 1.6oz smaller bottles you had on the counter I couldn't tell what those where. Was that essential oils? I am going to start making larger batches soon I just wanted to make sure I had all ingredients correct thank you so much

Hi Ma'am, your Whipped Bodt butter is really good for skin May i ask No Fragrance to put? Just combination of Cocoa Butter and Shea which there is different smell?
@carrieevans297

you can put any fragrance, from what i have researched, for every cup of combined butter (shea and coco or mango butter) and carrier oils, plus if you want the oil to be less oily just add 1 and half tsp of arrowroot and so for every cup... you can add 36 drops of essential oils, they can be two to three added, there is base, middle and top notes... you can research that online... its amazing.

This is a great tutorial and inspiring video, thank you so much. I notice that your label on the jars says: SCAR ERASER. Is it good for acne scars on the face or is it solely and purposefully for stretch marks on the body? Thank you again. You are so generous with your recipe and for sharing the quantities.

You can use it on your face as well, a little goes a long way and we always recommend to be consistent in using natural products because they aren't a magic pill, but they do work great overtime :)

The formula contains Cocoa Butter, which is the recommended butter for scars and stretch marks. You can use it on your face as well, just not on any open wounds.

It’s just from starting with smaller recipes and perfecting them, then multiplying the amounts! Always start with one small batch to determine what you need for your larger recipe

Great video! How do you keep the butters from not becoming hard during cold seasons? How do you maintain the whipped consistency?
@BetterSheaButter
@BetterSheaButter 3 года назад
They always harden up a bit when they settle, but the air bubbles created by the whipping stay there, so it is technically still whipped. The only way to keep it soft is to use synthetic ingredients like emulsifiers. We are trying to stay away from those to give people options to be 100% natural in their skincare routine.
