How to Make Leather Earrings On A Cricut | St. Patrick’s Day Earrings DIY | Iron On Shamrocks

In this video I share how to make leather earrings with a Cricut Explore, Cricut Air 2, or Cricut Maker. These Shamrock earrings are the perfect St. Patrick's Day earrings diy project. The shamrocks are cut from green glitter iron on material and then applied with a Cricut Easy Press 2 to teardrop leather earrings. It's easy to cut leather with the Cricut machine. You can cut faux leather and cork sheets with the Cricut Explore or Cricut Air 2 with the normal fine point blade. Change the blade to the deep cut blade and you can cut genuine leather with the machines. Simply cut the faux leather teardrop earrings or real leather teardrop earrings from the machine and then add the shamrock.
These diy earrings are a great way to get your GREEN on!

Love the way these came out. I kept an old mat cover to my maker and cut 2 inches off and I use that to put on my mat when cutting earrings. All thanks to you tips.

Thank you for this way to do iron on. I wanted to make the shamrock 3d but that isn’t working for me. This will be my alternative.

I see fabric glue listed as well as the stuff you use on the edge. Will fabric glue or fray check work on the edges?

I love the earrings, but shouldn't the shamrock have three leaves?

Ha. It is funny you ask because I was trying to figure out which one to use. The bundle includes both. This is what I read - A shamrock has three leaves. Shamrocks that have four leaves are rare and are the traditional 'lucky charms'. Each leaf of the clover represents something: the first is for hope, the second is for faith, and the third is for love. If there is a fourth leaf, it is for luck. But I also saw somewhere else that - The traditional Irish symbol of a shamrock does not include the fourth leaf. So technically, based on that, I should’ve used the three leaf one to be technically correct. When I looked at St. Patrick’s Day faux leathers i saw a blend of the two used in many of them. I figured since they included both I could use whichever one. :)
