Yay! Thank you for your video! It gave my teenage daughter & I the knowledge & courage to try making this ourselves! Our jars are loading & boiling in the water bath now! Can't wait to try it!!! Sugar free jelly, here we come! 😃 Crepes coming in the morning topped with our fresh strawberry jelly! Yum!!! 🍓🍓🍓

I am so happy to find someone who is not using a ton of sugar! I am trying to decide how to can this sweet onion jam without using so much sugar. It calls for 3 and 1/2 cups of brown sugar. Maybe this Pomona’s pectin will help me. Thank you for sharing!!

Wonderful video! If you are not looking for a vegan jam, add 1 tbl spoon of butter before boiling and your jam will be clear and beautiful. Or just scoop out the foam before canning. I just ordered my Pomona's Pectin and this video is just what I was looking for, Thanks!

I used an immersion blender with the heat on medium since I was using frozen fruit.

Parm Kaur Hi Parm! I was looking for a canning video using Stevia because my wide assortment of canning books and the National Center for Home Food Preservation state nothing pertaining to this topic. This vlog was perfect! I opened up my Pomona's Uni Pectin and found exactly what I needed. Sweet Miss Erika is absolutely correct! I'm going to try canning with Stevia, at this moment, with my nearly 50 pounds of freshly picked blueberries. Lol Hopefully, your canning turned out beautifully!! :D Thank you ever so, Miss Erika! I thought this was a great idea for low sugar jam as my brother is diabetic but when I tried to buy some of this Pomona’s pectin I’m Amazon it was £125 for. Few packets ! Is there another time for low sugar jam?

I've got a question, my mother is diabetic & I wanted to make some orange marmalade, I saw you add apple juice to strawberries so can I do the same or add orange juice instead or what ?

Any sweetener will work with Pamona's Pectin, so it's just a matter of what flavor you want. For orange marmalade, I would think an orange juice would give it more orange flavor, but plain orange juice isn't very sweet, so try Dole frozen Orange Peach Mango juice - one of my favorite sweeteners, with a delightful flavor.

I always watch these confused cause you get negative pressure after filling the jars just put them in the fridge right away while still hot. Boiling after canning legit makes 0 sense it’s would just extra work 🤔

I believe one of the reasons for boiling the filled jars is in order to bring them to a very high temperature with the purpose of killing any remaining bacteria that might still be left in the jam/jelly itself or inside of the jars.
