Manufactured sand is angular while most river sand is smooth. Crushed rock and crushed sand interlock and help form stable bases. In our area, crushed sand is a byproduct of making crushed stone (gravels). It should be even better in concrete than river sand. When you buy 3/4 minus for example, the fines are actually crushed sand. Some places call the crushed sand 'rock dust' and are used under pavers for example. In this video, when finished sand is being discharged to a pile, the angle of the slope is quite steep. That is because the sand particles being angular interlock. Angle of Repose increases.
@@wujeyne4744 glad the information was helpful. I was a Landscape Architect for years. Combine design, construction management, supervision. Studied Civil Engineering in College along with L Arch. In my area, mostly river deposited rocks, gravels, sands. Some is sold as 'washed' and others as 'crushed'. Was always careful to specify right kind of rock.
@@SJR_Media_Group No wonder! You have a great career. The crushed artificial sand is in high demand. I hope to improve the sand productivity with our tungsten carbide wear parts for the crushers, and help the sustainability of the envioronment as well.
In my area the manufactured sand does not meet ASTM C-33 standards which is the spec for most cements, asphalt, and other applications. This state DOT has modified concrete standards to allow the use of Manufactured sand to save on construction cost since C-33 sand is locally rare.
@John Evans No manufactured sand is excellent. It just does not meet an arbitrary standard for gradation applicable to river sand. The restriction for fines passing the 400 screen is more restrictive for Georgia Cement Sand than the ASTM C-33 standard (less than 5% for Cement sand and less than 10% for ASTM C-33). That is accomplished by washing but the Cement sand will not grade within the slot limits for ASTM C-33 for some of the internal gradations. See Steven's comments which are informative.
Me encantan las Canteras a si le llamaban en mi Paiz en Cuba. Yo trabajé en las canteras de de país en Cuba por un año pero mi papá trabajo 40 años en Las canteras de Cuba.
River sand is best for wall plaster and floor plaster/ceiling plaster ...but this video is excellent when river is full of water in rainy season we can use this manufacturing sand for emergency needs
The type of sand in rivers is rapidly being used up, hence why the video! The sand in the deserts and the salty oceans is not good for making concrete.
Every quarry makes manufactured sand from limestone. Every quarry that works with river gravel, has sand. Sand is more plentiful, than all the other sizes of screened material.
China is importing huge amounts of sand for it's construction industry. They often take away whole sand banks which leaves islands more exposed to the sea.
@@RangieNZ can a cone crusher crush rocks into sands? Where I am people use vertical speed impactor (VSI), this things cost a lot to run as it consumes lots of electricity and wearable parts!
No brother its actually cheaper than the river sand in india... Like half the cost of river sand. Even govt is promoting the use of these sand in construction sector.
The highest quality sand. Wonderful integrated production line. How much does a cubic meter of this sand cost before we know the price of the production line?
No, thanks for reminding me my time in a sand and stone quarry. Correct me if I’m wrong but that final product looks like concrete sand to me and regarding my my time as one of the dump truck drivers it was an absolute turd trying to feed all four hoppers with only one rather crappy 25 toner Volvo dump truck it got to the stage that when they asked me volunteer take time in the bagging shed I jumped at it because the manager thought he was punishing me but I loved it
We have a problem. Self-anchoring anchors and metal reinforcement rods. This leads to defects in the cone and jaw crushers. Magnetic traps cannot pull metal out of a large rock
9$/ton seems really cheap when I look at this mosnter of a machine inad the energy and material it probably costs. I mean - whats te output of this giant thing, what does it cost initially and to keep running?
@@nilesbutler8638 most of our plants can crush about 3,500 ton per day. It is crushing about 4 different size products at the same time. The last crushing plant we bought wss around a million dollars. Then add a few haul trucks at 1/2 a million each and a few front end loads and they can cost as much as a million each. We have smaller quarries than most and sell about half a milion ton per Year. We are a mom and pop quarry in a industry the most mom and pops are gone.
$9 is cheeeeeeap ! Man-sand isn’t a thing in our area, I happened to stumble across this but I’ll be looking into producing it, I’d be thinking $25 , that’s a common price for sand around here
I want you to make all types of model of these kind of automatic machine for buildings.bring one and make others like this for construction business. and work, make automatic machine in Pakistan, Bangladesh ,india
