My compliments to the video footage on this video , it was excellent and nothing short of amazing . Who ever did this was a pro and knew what they were looking for .
Great seeing other companies do the samething we do at my company. Gotta say you do a great job recording. Would never guess it was recorded on a phone.
Thanks very much Royce... This week I will be getting a closed-circuit impactor it weighs 142000 lbs ... it's a big boy ... it will be crushing asphalt millings ... subscribe to my channel that way you'll get to see the video ... thanks again and have a great week

This is really just a reasonable sized mobile plant in use because it's probably close to the source concrete and to the buyer. There are permanent crusher operations that make this look like a toy. I have no idea on how to find it now but there was a video of one operation that was virtually automatic apart from trucks feeding the plant and buyers trucking away the finished product. Trucks would dump directly into a hopper that fed the crushing process and at the end of the line there were massive silos for want of a better name filled with the various grades of material that loaded directly into their customers trucks.

I've seen this process done with a single machine. It had three exit conveyors for three sizes of gravel. The operators told me that the gravel was already contracted and would probably be new roadbed or poured into new concrete within a week. Pretty cool.

Truly impressive; curious about the durability and maintenance schedule required after a couple of years of operations. Like, frequency of main bearing replacements for the jaw crusher unit? That often seems to be a key point of wear in these devices. A really well appreciated and most likely profitable favor to the demolition industry would be to invent a rock and concrete crushing system that was more appropriately scaled and costed to job-site operations; the size where the throughput needed from the crushing system is not measured in multiple tons per hour; more like 1/2 to 1 ton per hour. Instead of having to pay for hauling castoff rock & concrete to commercial operations, contractors could process the material into forms useful on the jobsite, or possible to be sold to other parties. This would also cut down on them simply calling up people to dump the material "anywhere we can't see it", which in many locales has been and still is a growing problem. Not only would this open up new sales/leasing/rental business for the machinery, but would have immediate impact with environmental concerns over the swiftly growing number and volumes of illegal construction materials dumpsites.
It does happen alot but smaller crushers about 30ton machine they still produce a good amount per hour but some sites want it gone and crushing it then not being able to sell it could be a problem all depends on the job and what can be done
watch the part at 2:20, there's a belt running right to left, it's like a big magnet and gets the big pieces. if you look close at 2:21 you can see the rebar on the ground, it falls off the magnet belt as it comes around. hope that helps.
Material looks pretty good! Hope the magnet is working good, we stopped using recycled concrete because the guys must’ve been running it too fast and rebar and reinforcing wire was ending up in the material and in my truck tires! Two flat tires with wire and Rebar sticking out of them in one day! I was done with that shit!!😎
hmm I was wondering about that, I would think accordingly sized steel in small amounts would contribute to the mix just fine, but inexplicably longer pieces of rod make it through our screening bucket, wondering what will happen when we start crushing, already thinking were gona need a labourer on the saw constantly cutting excess rod any way.
Were both crushers jaw type, or was secondary crusher an impact one? I haven't seen so much Deere construction equipment in one place in quite some time.
It get old really fast trust me it seems like a koosh easy job but it's more mental the physical .border sets in at about 10 am then you just wanna get out for a few min by lunch I wanna go crazy
Production of clasts of different grain sizes. Neither less nor a river quarry, which produces from sand to breccia to gravel Are the product costs competitive?

Noticed a person working at one of the crushers without ear protection or hard hat. He may have ear plugs in and I just can't see them. Must be loud though, I wonder what the noise and vibration level is to the surrounding area as well as working there...
to all who ask about the profit. the answer is in the recycle. Contractors and builders, city work and even homeowners pay high prices to get rid of old concrete about 100 dollars per yard.
Brendan, I was creating a safety video focused in on cement burn and silicosis that may also tie into the Bible. I was wondering if I could use any portions of this footage to illustrate to the audience what recycled concrete is?
I once remember there is a mathematical function of that dump cone profile. Could not remember that. Anyway, can you use that recycled agggregate (not dirt as one of the idiot put) for structural concrete or do you just use it as Aggreagate base for road construction? And what is the cost ratio of virgin aggregate from quarry to the recycled aggregate, including lojistics cost?

I really enjoyed the video, but I’d like a commentary on the make and capacity of the machines used. I’d call them trimmers, but I don’t know what you call them. I’m intrigued why there is no washing, the structural strength of washed aggregate in concrete versus unwashed of same density and size is significant

There is a guy in montreal that has been talking about how fiber reinforced concrete was a pain to process, was wondering if he was just saying that to get more coin or its an actual problem.
It's purely about economics and supply and demand. My customer produces base material and 57 stone ... In this region of South Georgia there is no natural Rock ... He can produce it for under $5 and they sell it for $35. He also screens makes a 67 Stone that he is able to put back into his concrete mix ... Thus saving him $400,000 per year from buying virgin Rock from the quarries ... Which are a long distance away. He is able to use this rock in his concrete for private jobs which is about 40% of his business ... So when you work out the mathematics it makes very concise sence
That looks like the hopper, the crusher seems like it's deep within the machine. I know what you are talking about, I wouldn't want a 300 lb bolder ejected coming down on me.
It’s very informative I didn’t know it took that much to break concrete down to its component parts. Might want to give us a little information at each operation to tell us what’s going on. Also may be slow the cats down between each seen a little abrupt by
it seams to be a smaller crusher that crush OVERSIZED stones,, notice the small conveyer bringing back the result. depending of what the customer shall use the gravel for, there often are a maximum size.
3/4 or 9/16" on the bottom deck and 1.5" on the top deck ... my customer makes 57 stone three-quarter inch minus base, and a railroad ballast size Stone

Well, makes you wonder why the gold mining shows in Alaska don't use this machine. No rocks jamming up, no belts getting torn, no shakers breaking springs.

notice the rotating belt over one of the conveyers at 2:15 it contains an electro magnet in the center holding up any steel. when the belt turns and the metal reach the end of the magnet it drops on the ground ore in a bucket, but the concrete they crusd in this video didnt seam to have much iron in it

What's that about 2 million dollars worth of equipment to make ... maybe 10k of road base aggregate? I wonder what when the break even point is? transporting this stuff to a demolition site or transporting materials from a demolition site to a yard like this would be very expensive. Seems this would have to be subsidized in some way or relocated to a war zone / earthquake / hurricane zone.
How do you make a million dollars quarrying ? Start with two !...This could be a tip so the concrete costs to to be dumped and subsidises the re crushing and resale.
my customers typically charge people to dump concrete as landfill prices increase, contractors are looking for a cheaper alternative to get rid of waste concrete brick rock asphalt ... It typically costs less than $5 us dollars to make a product that can sell for as low as $10/60 per ton depending on how where you are located ... Florida South Georgia and Alabama have little rock quarries available to them and recycled aggregate like concrete and asphalt is recognized as a alternative usable product. Laws and regulations drive this industry ... Also developing countries have a need for mobile equipment as the initial start up costs are significantly less than stationary quarry equipment.
In most of Europe now, large construction projects have to have lots of 'environmental' statements around the project. This includes recycling of materials. For any that have an element of demolition, the concrete usually gets crushed on site & reused. This is the 'greenest' method as there's no road transport involved. Machines such as these can be taken to the site by low loader & used there. That's their appeal. This setup is a bit more involved with all the screening. The resulting material probably has a resale value. This will avoid 'quarry' taxes etc.
