I get so engrossed watching you prepare and cook that it causes me to become relaxed. I started dozing off during this video while you were cutting up the last quarter of the onion. Then I heard, "Are y'all sleepy?" Forgetting I was watching a video, I responded, "Yeah, a little bit," before realizing nobody was actually here asking me the question.

I love good meatloaf....You ask what's going on with us.....Well, I had my left kidney surgically removed cause of a stage one renal carcinoma tumor 3.1 cm. Surgery was Aug. 29th. 2022. Today is Nov. 4th. 2022. My solo kidney had been decreasing in amt. of Function since surgery. Last blood work shows that the function has increased back up 6%. Please put me in your prayers that my kidney continue to increase it's function. I love you,and your videos . You are a Blessing!!! I know the Lord can give me hid healing. Amen

Donna from Pennsylvania here I too love ❤ meatloaf sandwiches. That's is 1 reason I love following you. My mom has 6 kids. We got Blessed you a Step-dad that took her in with 6 kids. His dad adored us. My mom was his home nurse when he got paralyzeddriv8ng the Lackawanna train services. Anyway we grew up similar except we had limited electricity way back in the woods. Storms always dropped trees on our power line. We had that big blue wood stove mom cooked on. Dad had a pot belly stove in the garage. And big living room wood burner in the living room. It was a 1 bedroom house. When dad met us he put in a trailer with 2 bedrooms. . He took out a living room window made a walkway to the trailer back door. That became an arch way the little area but to mark through was where we hung our coats and lined our boots fir the farm and play. We used the bathroom . Until then we had an out house. Burr living in north cold snowy winters. and auuuu😲 for the bears 🐻 The generation since them got lazy. Mouthy. Distracted. Be a Christian my mom and dad was laymen ministers. My dad was our chorus leader. It was a wonderful life.

I love your videos. They remind me of my parents. Mom couldn't boil water when she and Dad got married. But, she learned. She made raising her family a priority and she became an awesome cook. I loved her meatloaf, always full of peppers and tomatoes from our garden, however when Regina, the baby, was born 6 years after Mom and Dad stopped having children, she was totally spoiled. She didn't like the peppers and tomatoes and onions in meatloaf, so Dad bought a high powered blender and chopped the vegetables so fine you couldn't see them. He added it to the meatloaf and it tasted delicious and since she couldn't see the vegetables she ate and enjoyed it. Mom got mad at him. She said that the world won't always pamper her and that it was important that her children know what is in their food and that it is the mix of flavors and textures that made it unique. She believed all of us should know how to cook to be healthy and keep our loved ones healthy also.

I love left over meatloaf sandwiches...I usually can't even wait until the next day...I have one before I go to bed...Yummy!

I wish I could get you to turn your camera sideways instead of up and down on your phone it would make it easier to see you and the things that you’re cooking if the phone was laying on its side then it acts like a camera so therefore easier to see you.

We had meatloaf often growing up. We ate meatloaf sandwiches too. My wife Kathy is recovering from radiation on her face and neck. But God is so faithful. Foods we could afford growing up rich folks started enjoying them and it caused our food to go up.

Yesterday, my neighbor brought me a huge amount of meatloaf and mashed potatoes, so that was my dinner. Today, Thursday, I got my delivery of 4 meals from meals on wheels (I get 3 on Mondays). The hot lunch was, yep, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. Then I finished up the neighbors meatloaf and mashed for dinner. Boy, am I full! I get meals on wheels because I'm a disabled senior. I need both hips and both knees replaced and a 4th surgery on my back as a permanent fix. In the meantime, I barely get around on crutches. I have a nice neighbor who does all my shopping and takes my garbage out. I can cook, but I have to do the prep sitting at the table. Then, I can only stand over the stove for a minute or two. Sometimes it takes me two days to prep and cook a meal but I always make a lot extra, so it can be my 2nd meal for a few days. God is good to me so that I can do this and be somewhat independent still. Thank you, Jesus!

So funny. This was a year ago but I was making a meatloaf today and thought I’d look at Miss Brenda’s recipe. It was like she was in the room as I was half asleep and she kept saying how tired she was. I figured if she can make a meatloaf loaf when she’s tired so can I LOL!❤

I end up buying ground Italian sausage for recipes like spaghetti...it's half the price of ground beef. Ground chicken or ground turkey is good for tacos...but you have to have beef for meatloaf! So it's either pay the $15 or more for beef or do without meatloaf! I use ketchup or bbq instead of tomato sauce and I use bread crumbs instead of crackers..it's been hard to find the crackers at our local grocery store...prices are high, and the shelves are empty!

I have lived in Alabama for 57 of my 67 years. I make meat loaf the same way with the exception of the topping. I mix ketchup, some brown sugar, a bit of Worcestershire sauce and some of the tomato sauce, and a bit of mustard together and put it on the top of the loaf. I basically follow the topping recipe Paula Deen uses.

I've had health problems. I need surgery on both my kidneys so I'll need to take a bit of time off work... I'm usually very healthy so it's come as a shock to me and my family. Your videos are a good distraction 🥰

I love meatloaf! I add a pound of sausage to mine.. my mother in law just uses ground beef and chopped onions and then grills it on the grill 😏 it’s basically just a big hamburger patty; I don’t consider it meatloaf at all! 😆

Walt has the right idea. I love meatloaf sandwiches with ketchup and mayo and sometimes cheese. It so good

Pat that loaf down to about 1/2" thick - thaw out some chopped brocolli draibed and lay in center with 1 cup of grated jack cheese. Roll up and pat the loaf to seal. Wrap completely in bacon - bake at 350 1 hour. Turn oven to broil to crisp bacon, carefully turn loaf over and crisp other side. Heat one can chopped tomatoes with 1tbls A-1 sauce to pour over baked meatloaf. Or serve sauce on the side. YUM!

I love, love, love fried bologna on bread with mustard. Growing up, that was a staple in our house.

My mother was born in 1923 and the oatmeal container showed you had a fix meatloaf with oatmeal and it’s delicious and we use ketchup instead of tomato juice

The best meatloaf I've ever made, I used crumbled, wheat saltines and the regular ingredients. For some reason, using those wheat saltines made my meatloaf hold together nicely enough for sandwiches. Usually, my meatloaf is crumbly and too messy for sandwiches. I got it right that time. Like you, I don't care to measure. Thank you for these great videos to teach and help people save money and eat healthy by cooking at home.

I just wanted to say thank you for the recipes you share, especially the cabbage casserole. FYI I accidentally left out the onions and combined the cheese with the soup mix, putting the ritz crackers and butter after it was 20 minutes in the oven. Amazingly it was even better!!! Thank you again!!!

Your friends Cherry story is the same thing that happened to me a few years ago. I saw a big sign on top of the shelf saying “Cherries on sale for $5.48”. Didn’t realize til I got home and went over my receipt and saw where my problem was on my receipt. I was so upset. I haven’t bought cherries since 😊. The big sign was deceitfully done to sell them. I now read all of the fine print on those signs. Never even noticed the fine print before, either.
