We all have more fabric than what we actually need, right??? Destash some of what you don't need and sell it for $2 a yard and it will go FAST. The more the price, the more money you make. Know what your fabric is worth to make the most amount of money. I just made it easier and faster to charge one price per yard.
Let me know how it turns out for you!!!

I really enjoyed this and just what I am looking to do - 85 years old and I will never use all of my quilting fabrics. Hope I can figure this out so my kids won’t need to do it.

March 27 th 2023 , i watched your awesome video and I must say , loved it …I’m learning how to use the internet to sell things and USPS PayPal and people have been fun to work with on top of not knowing what to expect or what I’m doing really 😅I just wanted to say Thankyou , I do not sew at all however I make junk journals with fabric covers which landed me to your very helpful video and I enjoyed listening to your voice it’s very calming and informative .,watching how you made it all work out for the most benefit to fit the job was very inspiring to me and in the simplest way possible you explain how it all works , I myself really appreciate the help and I was impressed with the amount of fabric you sold the amount of helpful tips you offered and I really loved how you managed to get the children into helping out as well I think 1000 dollars or 10 dollars the experience of it all was worth so much more… thanks again “my first comment ever “ …. Christina

Very informative and motivating video ! I work in a sewing/"costume making" kind of association in France and we are overloadded with old outdated small cuts of fabric... thinking of going through your process to get rid of it online... but i need to check for the french postal services and learn how to use paypal... thinking of selling the old costumes too... Thank you for sharing, i can see what i'm heading for more clearly now

I hope you do this, Dorine! Even though it would be more costly to ship to the states from France, I bet a lot of folks here would love to shop your stash! Keep us posted!

Oh my word... Honey you've made a ton of work for yourself. It's soooooo much easier to sell fabric on Ebay. I've done it including fleece (which was my best seller) and it's not as complicated as the way you're doing it.

I have sold it all when I am ready to. I am not subject to the timing of others buying on ebay. Lots of eyes see and want it right away. Plus I don't have to give ebay a piece of what I make. I love this way and I guess everyone has what works for them. I don't currently own and therefore have to store ANYTHING that I need to sell which is the biggest plus for me this way. Happy Selling to you!

Thank you for the video & tips Stacy! I've put of 2 big boxes of nice good wuality knits and other apparel fabrics to destash. Have you tried craigslist or etsy? I posted a couple of times in some fb groups a couple of years ago and there was no response and so many people post, they disappear fast. I think it was some Canadian group
@thebluekeystone7628
@thebluekeystone7628 3 года назад
Craigslist can be useful. Etsy gets a piece of your sales, and you have to ship. I price things so that they sell and FAST. That way it is all done and mostly sold. Remember your time is money as well. If you have lots of time, sell at the price you want; if you don't, sell it for cheap and save the time.

Post the "panicked pandemic era"... Do you have an Update & New Tips as we approach 2023 year about selling FABRIC: selling quilt shop quality fabric yardage, batiks, pre-cuts, jelly rolls, panels, and avenues you recommend for reaching customers? What you think of The Rollo Printer, is it the better choice over regular HP printers for labels? Haven't heard from you on this topic "How to Make Money Selling your Fabric/Destash since this video you made 3 years ago? Thanks.

I don't use sticky labels. I tape the printed paper label to box. I have made a lot of money selling fabric on Facebook groups. However, all income over $600 now has to be taxed, whereas my state did not require that before. This has sort of tipped the scale for me to not want to sell fabric on the side. There is still a lot money to be made, mostly with yardage, not so much precuts. Happy Sewing/Selling!!!

Hello, I may have missed this, but...when do you delete the "sold" photos? After invoicing, after delivered? Thank you!!
@thebluekeystone7628
@thebluekeystone7628 2 года назад
Everyone does it differently. If you delete "Sold" photos you need to let the buyers know in advance so if they want screen shots of their purchases they can get them. Sellers delete photos differently, but I delete the whole post after I am pretty sure everyone has their purchases and are happy with them. Happy Sewing!

Hi, saw your video and wanted to get in touch. We manufacture fabric on demand on our airjet looms (200 + × looms) if you or someone you know want raw uncolored fabric then we can delivery your requirements. # grey cloth.

Was the time worth the money? It seems like a lot of work for less than $1,000
@thebluekeystone7628
@thebluekeystone7628 4 года назад
I thought it was, but we all have differences on what our time is worth. For instance, if you made 100K a year, probably not. For me, as a stay at home mom, it fits in with my life. I also enjoy it, which not everyone does. If you have fabric you want to sell in bulk let me know.

A lot of the fabric I have seen has something "sold for non commercial home use only." Is it ok to sell as destash? I am a little confused as I have some that I may want to sell someday through a facebook or etsy or even ebay.
@thebluekeystone7628
@thebluekeystone7628 4 года назад
Yes, you can resell that. Basically when you buy it, it is yours to do with what you want. I also was leery of such things, but when I researched it, it basically means you can't make a garment to resell out of it. Even then, the law does not allow them to cone after you because you did not sign a binding contract with them. Nor is the mere purchase a defacto signing of a contract. Hope that helps.
