it’s cool to see the different techniques…like how the chinese culture discards the first pour as it’s looked to rid of any waste and to wash and refresh the dried leaves. where here you’re discarding 2 nd steep but reapplied the first pour to the pot…very interesting

He didn't boil the tea after adding all ingredients !!! missed an important step.
@Travizeo
@Travizeo 7 лет назад
But the water was already boiled and still very hot. Why would you need to boil it again after adding ingredients?
@meh2486
@meh2486 6 лет назад
cause of the mint leaves it is one of those things that just happens. the flavours of them all should boil on a low fire for a few minutes

This video is how it is done in Morocco. No step was missed. You don't boil the tea after you've made it. The water is already boiling hot when you add it to the pot.

Can you please tell me the reason for lifting the tea while pouring? I have seen alot do so
@Travizeo
@Travizeo 3 года назад
If I'm not mistaken, it is to cool the tea down but also to add some air into the brewing process and create more movement in the pot so that you get a stronger flavour. I think :P

It's for structuring too many bubbles bcz tea without bubbles is not tea,the more bubbles the more tea quality. Comment From a Moroccan guy.

I am confused about the moving the tea from container to container. Does this provide a flavor difference?
@Travizeo
@Travizeo 8 лет назад
I think that's mostly to get rid of the little bits of tea floating around and yes it does give it more flavor too.
@Pablo99336
@Pablo99336 7 лет назад
Sorry- late reply. Pouring the tea from glass to glass helps cool it quickly and also builds a foam on top - like a crema on coffee.

No problem - Im actually Irish but I love the Moroccan culture.
@orquideaferoz445

It’s to create foam. Moroccans love tea with lots of foam. The more foam, the better. That’s also why they raise the teapot so high when pouring tea. It creates more foam. My fiancé is Moroccan and taught me these things.

BeoandIsa :) Glad you found it, and thanks for watching. There is also the google play link below, if you want to buy the song. I heard this song the first time while staying at Dar Lazuli. There was a small music shop in the wall of the medina, and they played this song very loud all day everyday :) We could hear it from the roof of the riad, so it seemed like the perfect piece of music to use.

That’s not Moroccan tea! You have to bring it to a boil before you serve it!
@dlbstl
@dlbstl 3 года назад
The water is boiled already. You do not bring the brewed tea to a boil. I think you're thinking of coffee. I married a man from Morocco and he made tea every single day.
