reminds me of when my parents would make cheeseburgers as a kid... the bell pepper, garlic, onion, and crab boil or creole seasoning combination is definitely a New Orleans thing - good memories
You're right about that! It's similar to adding the trinity but minus the celery. My people did the exact same thing. Definitely good memories there. Thanks a lot for sharing my fellow New Orleans native. Finally someone from the same city that can relate!
Those cheese burgers looks so darn delicious I'm going to try this recipe for sure oh my Charlie Andrews you never fail me with your recipes keep bringing us more
Hi Charlie. You took an ordinary recipe and made this extraordinarily delicious. The mustard is a trick I use making burgers. But I add it on top of burgers while they are cooking. Delicious!!
Ohh !!! Ohh ! My Goodness!! Okay so I have just ordered brand new Weber Charcoal Grill and this is going to be an amazing summer and Fall Grilling season!! Inspirational!!
I don't really care for pickles on my burger either. Though, I'm not a total pickle hater. Looks soo good, as per usual. I think I'm gonna have to do this on my fire pit for the 4th. I think I'm do for a little fat treat. & I have some cherry wood I want to use up. Hope you have a beautiful weekend Charlie & anyone else who read this. Stay safe.
On my way. Put mines in some parchment paper and put me some sweet tea in a large mason jar with plenty of ice Did you save me some dessert👀 Have a wonderful weekend Mr. Charlie🍔🥤
I made these Saturday night and OMG they were delicious this is my new way of making homemade cheeseburgers. Charlie every recipe I have made of yous is delicious and a keeper for sure. Thank you for sharing.
My mom from Itta Bena, Mississippi and she incorporates the green peppers and onions in the ground beef too that's how I was raised to eat a burger....Chicago is in the building.
Looks good. Only thing I would do different is leave out the green bell pepper. Adding that to me makes it taste more like meat loaf. Other than that, it looks amazing Charlie. Love you channel.
@@naomid1819 Exactly, same here. I believe most people who says it tastes like meatloaf probably haven't tried the burgers with the onion, Green onion, bell pepper and seasoning. There's more seasonings and ingredients than onion and bell pepper that goes into a meatloaf.
@@naomid1819 same! My grandpa was from Louisiana and we stayed with him. That’s how we seasoned ground beef no matter the style, it was all about flavor!
Charlie you are awesome. Thanks for teaching me to make a roux and gumbo. My buddy Bruce and I always count the table smacks at the end to tell us if we need to try the recipe. Love from Cali bud.
You're welcome, not a problem. Happy I was able to help. Good to hear that you all enjoy the taste test. I lost count of the table hits. lol I appreciate the compliments. Thanks!
I been scrolling past this thumbnail for a 2 days like “I’m gonna watch it when I get time” 😂😂 Chef Charlie came through with another great recipe. Thanks!
OMG Charlie - I made your New Orleans cheeseburger, I have to say, it's the best cheeseburger I ever put in my mouth (and I've had many). I have to look at you recipe and make your buns. Where did you learn all your cooking abilities and recipes? I'm interested to know. Thanks for your big smile. It always puts me in a good mood when I see and hear you. God Bless and thanks again. Linda from Texas.
Hey Linda! Wow that is awesome. Happy to hear that the Cheeseburgers were a success and that you enjoyed them. I learned a lot of things on my own by experimenting, success and failures. I also learned a few things by watching my aunt, uncle and grandmother. You're welcome, not a problem. Thanks for leaving feedback!
Hey Charlie these looks delicious! Always look forward to counting how many times you slam the table in delicious delight after you try a bite. Over 10 this time!!! Cheers from NJ
Well Charlie, this burger must be better than all other meals cause that was way more banging. It looks delicious by the way. Keep it coming cause I love your channel.
Charlie -- don't make me come back to Nawlins and smack you down! Making your own hamburger buns...sheesh! Have some pity on the rest of us! Great recipe...I WILL be doing that one, too. (Making your peach upside down cake this weekend...) I was tickled to find out on my last trip to your fine city that the old A&P down in the French Quarter didn't simply disappear...it's now a Rouse's Market! That really did make me grin! You rawk, my man! And a hearty Thank You!
I know right. lol I appreciate the compliments. That's awesome. Let me know how the peach cake turns out. Yes a lot has changed in the city. You're welcome, not a problem!
cajun / creole cooking truly is the best, it complements so well so many different types of not just western cooking, but Asian as well I find. Would love to see more Asian type stir fries or maybe some seafood dumplings a la louisiana style. Keep it up Charlie !
Hey Chef Charlie I hope that you and your awesome family are well! This looks delicious just as all the other things you make on your videos! Hope that you and your family are safe and that your homes don't get damaged or destroyed during this Monster Category 4 Hurricane Ida that's currently in the Gulf of Mexico approaching Port Fourchon and the Southern Coast of Louisiana. I hope that New Orleans is ready and the Storm Gates are closed. I'm praying for y'all brother! God Bless you and thanks for sharing this awesome recipe! Have a blessed Sunday! ⚜️🦐👨🏾🍳🍔🌊🙏🏻
Hey there! I appreciate the compliments, prayers and well wishes. Yes, I am aware of the storm in the Gulf and so far all is well. Thank you and you have a good day as well. Jordan Jenkins?? I don't remember as I communicate with so many on here. Thanks so much.
