I did not know they were Scandinavian! We used to make them as kids out of paper ( I am now 70) , fill them with flowers from the woods and hang them on the neighbors doors. Then we knock on the door and run. This was the Tradition on "May Day." May 1st. Thanks for reminding me how to make the basket. BTW Nobody left me any yesterday. ;(
I remember making these many years ago in school, thank you so much for bringing back the memories! If you are making these and have someone very new to weaving, you can omit the folding step and the beginning and just cut the pattern from a single sheet of paper or felt and use the simpler weaving technique to join the two together. While it doesn't have the amazing pocket yours does, it can still be a super cute ornament!
I made these when my son was in school. I made them for years. He had up to 35 in his classroom. I did the double sided ones because I wanted them finished on the inside as well as the outside. Made handles from side to side he put his valentines card in them and also candy for each child. It was fun for me and the children and their parents enjoyed them. I’m glad to see someone keeping this craft going on for all the new generations. Thanks for sharing
I'm doing the happy dance because I actually made one without getting frustrated! Your positivity really helps. Saying positivity at the beginning caught my attention. Thank you! 💐
Love 💕 your energetic enthusiasm ! Please send some my way . Having a craft day tomorrow with some friends, we are all making Valentines for our elderly. Guess what I’ll be making ?? 💗💘
Thank you for reminding me about these....made them 20 years ago in paper with my Brownie Girl Scouts....I will make them in fabric for my Monday morning quilt group and put quilting clips in them for Valentine's day

Dawned on me today why I’ll never be able to film a tutorial... I don’t have your patience, Mr Domestic! Mine would be full of expletives as I wrestled to master something new or get misbehaving fabric to go where I want. Good job you’re here to show us 😍
I love 😍 your personality you are so inspiring with your crafting style and heart you love what you're doing its amazing thank you for this amazing video 🙂😎🤓
I just love your pojects. I'm a semtress and crafter. May I suggest that you get a pair of hemastats. I am a retired nurse so I have several. They work better then tweezers and they are great for grasping a needle.

I clicked the link for template and says unavailable.. hmm 😒 I really would love to make these. I made these a few years ago.. I stuffed mine and sealed the edges.. but have an upcoming craft show and would like to make again
You need a pressing cloth so you don’t mess up your iron with the glue/stabilizers! It’s a pain in the butt to get the gummy stuff off your iron. Cute hearts!!
