Levi, Solution finish is amazing stuff, i got some and used it on my Focus's trim, that was so faded from sitting in the sun 24/7 that it turned almost pale grey, solution finish restored it all to black like when it was new! It made my 2008 Focus look almost brand new again! Amazing stuff!!!!
I'll look through your videos, but curious if they make something like this for vinyl or interiors, trying to restore my faded dash without having a high gloss/shine because it's frustrating for driving at night. Cool video though, thanks!
Nice demonstration Levi as always I learn from your illustrations. Levi quick question: When and if you have time. How about demonstrating how and why the ik Pro 12 foamer leaks, reasons why you can’t properly get it to pressurize. And how to secure that all the wand attachments are secure.
Ive been subscribed quite a few years. Love the videos. Have you tried spraying solution finish with a paint sprayer? I have a dedicated, $15 small paint gun just for SF, it may waste a little , but so does the absorption into a sponge. Its super quick and if you adjust the spray, its quite fast. I can literally go over a 4 dr jeep wrangler all the handles fenders trim on the hood, bumpers etc in less than 20 minutes, go take a break while it sets in a little the come wipe off the residual in about another 20 to 30 min. Cha ching, every jeep guy has at least 2 jeep guy friends and guess who they tell?
What about expiration. I used it but it was about 3 years old unopened. It didn't work that good at all. Looked great and easy to apply but after a week, it was gone. Or maybe it'd because I didn't do multiple coats... I wish I saw this before. 😂
It can be done with solution finish but a product like KCX's Gummifix that is designed for floor matts will be a much more user friendly experience on that surface
For the viewers, consider using the follow trim restorers, besides Levi's recommendation. Malco Revive Nu about $35 for 16 oz, or, Cerakote, apply with small towelettes (not cost effective and or Lithium Trim Cubes. Cerakote trim is available at Walmart, easy to find. In past tests, my recommendations will out last his product by other youtubers' tests?
I tried this stuff years ago. Looked ok at first, but after about a month it was blotchy and uneven. No, I applied it correctly, so that wasn’t it. Also durability as seriously lacking. Do not recommend.
Sorry you had a bad experience. I know you said you applied solution finish correctly but please walk me through the steps you did to prep the surface so we can help fix the issue. Also did you use over the top after dyeing the plastic?
