Can you make passive income owning franchises and if so, how do you do it?
Given I operated one of my franchises from the opposite side of the country, I literally was 2,500 miles away from my store that I owned that operated profitability for years- so I have strong opinions on this.
Then I owned a second franchise location that was about 150 miles away from where I lived.
So let’s break down how making passive income with franchises actually works.

Quick question: what do you think about purchasing an established food route (like Mission tortillas), if they claim makes about $17k per week. They have contracts with Vons, Food 4 less, Target, and 1 more store. They want $160,000. Seems pretty good investment that could generate over 800k per year. I'm trying to get either net weekly income or expenses. Tia

Former Mission Food owner/distributor. In 2003, distributors earned 22% commission on their sales. By the time i sold my distributorship, in 2008 commission had descended to 20%. Substantial earnings reduction. So big, i was out. Fast forward to 2017, i was shocked to learn that commission continued to drop to 16% and most likely even lower today. I guarantee you there are more than (4) stores. Does the distributorship include a box truck or do you have to purchase your own? Bottom line Mission Foods is scary big, powerful and ruthless.

@@streamitv box truck is provided. It comes with a driver.

@streamitv also, stated expenses are roughly about $6000 per month including the driver. Earnings are between $2000-3200 per week. Seems that it could clear $130000 per year.

Did you end up buying the business? Pl share your experience, i am also looking to buy any established business, that's not too costly but profit margin is healthy.

My business partner and I been looking into franchising a trucking school. They looking to expand. They only have two locations but they numbers been successful. We already read over FDD. It just seem risky because they only got two locations and we would be guinea pigs like the others locations. I guess life about taking that gamble. My question is do you have or know anybody who franchise a trucking school? What’s your opinion on it?

My partner and I are both 24 years old. We both in the trucking industry for 1-2 years just as drivers.
