There is a very little sharp tack on the bottom of the measuring cup that you supposed to poke the fatter end of the egg with and it will help the eggs hard-boiled much better and probably not crack while they're cooking, thank you for the video it helped a lot👍
Hi! Does it cook the eggs for hard boiled eggs all the way? You wouldn't happen to know if eggs that got frozen and are cracked, do they have to be thrown away? Thanks!
My daughter bought one and uses it all the time. She likes her eggs extremely soft boiled. I like mine hard boiled. It’s so easy to adjust to get exactly what you like. She gently pokes the hole in it. It is so easy. The eggs are sooo easy to peel. I usually rip the eggs apart when I try to peel them. With this cooker and the hole prick, they look perfect. I might even volunteer to make deviled eggs at our next family gathering. lol I told my mother about it, and told me that she wanted one. She was very excited when I surprised her with one. This little gadget was money well spent!
Thanks for the helpful video. It's Thanksgiving and I like deviled eggs. Wife said she has too much to do and I'm in charge of making it. I pulled out the boiled egg maker but didn't have a clue what to do. Now I know and off we go. Thanks for the demo
My wife just bought 1 @ Walmart. Thank you for this review. Very informative. I see this getting a lot of use in our home. I love hard boiled eggs, but don't wanna have to drag out a pan every time. Plus waiting for water to boil etc.🥚🥦🥕
They sell 1 now that does 14 eggs on 2 plates. We bought 1 after leaving our 7 egg 1 at my sister's house over Thanksgiving. Stick with the 7 egg version. The pin on the measuring cup of the 14 is plastic. It doesn't always puncture the egg shell, and we had to use a push pin. We also noticed egg burps after eating eggs from the 14 that we didn't get from the 7. We bought another 7 version.
You have to put the smaller end of the egg facing down and the cup has a smash needle on the bottom of it , pierce the top of the egg and then placed on tray . This will cook the egg faster and better
Just dropping you a note , you saved this grandma's bacon🤣 for the life of me I could not figure out where they wanted the water to go. I used it as a lesson in nothing wrong with needing help. Thanks again, we are cooking as I type.
use the piercing under your measuring cup (promise it wont break your egg either) that says soft medium hard and custard on the large end of the egg it keeps your egg from cracking while it cooks I have the same one hun.
I just got one from my dad, not a huge egg person(made some for him) but I'm always looking for extra uses for little gadgets like this. I've also used to steam some shrimp, dumplings and warm up meatballs with cheese. Veggies up next.
Thank you for making this video. I pulled the egg cooker out of the box and looked at it like it was an alien space ship 😂 I had no idea what to do but your video helped me and now I have hard boiled eggs.
I just placed an order I'm starting keto on Monday figured it would be alot quicker/easier to have hard boiled eggs with this! Looks like on the bottom of the water cup is a small pin to poke a hole in the egg to let steam out so they don't crack 💕great video thanks for the review💕
i got one of these cookers at a thrift store but it didnt have the manual. thanks for this video- i know how to use it now! also just subscribed to you after seeing your other recipes for southern food! yum!
I bought the same egg cooker from Walmart. I think 🤔 you are suppose to use the piercing tool to put a hole in the big part of the egg 🥚. Thank you for the video!
@@CookingWithTK79 yea it works great. But the hole is to prevent them from bursting also. I seen everyone saying the egg was put in upside down but I put mine in like yours and they were just fine. The only difference is I put holes in mine and when I do they kinda foam out while cooking … then stop foaming
I bought mine at a thrift store (Brand new in the box) for $3.99. Didn't think it would be very efficient for $3.99 but I was very surprised! It will steam a perfect egg with no boiling a pan of water and no mess at all!
It works best if you put the eggs in an ice bath after!! I have one of those and I love it! But they definitely turned out better when I used an ice bath!
Those two leaked because you need to pierce the fat end of each egg with the egg piercer on the bottom of the water cup so they don't crack when cooking. Then place the fat/pierced end up in the cooker. Glad your cooker worked! I have tried a couple different brands and the eggs are always under cooked :(
The hole you make on the big end is to release pressue from the egg while steaming. Not doing so can cause a small explosion inside the egg and cause it crack. I been using this my mini for 4 years and it works perfectly. Good Luck and be safe
Thank you so much for this video. Nowadays it's like 12$ or more lol. Gonna try mine out but pierce the top for steam. Found the needle by mistake in the measuring cup lol
Your supposed to pierce the egg at the top with a small hole with the bottom of the measuring cup which contains the piercing tool at the bottom I absolutely love eggs hard boiled! Pages 9.28 im cooking 5 as we speak on a piece of wood on my bed😁getting ready to go get my butter and st and pepper! Why cook only on the kitchen?😁just be careful I love this thing! Egg salad here we come!😘
!! Your low-battery signal beep of one of your smoke detectors is going off about once every 30 seconds.....how do you not hear that? I hope youve changed it since posting this video
Your smoke alarm is chirping sweetie! Better replace the batteries or the unit itself. I think smoke detectors need to be changed out every 10 years. P.S. I loved your video, it was cute!
I will measure the water to the hard line in case the little measure goes MIA I can get the water right and a bulletin board push pin will work to pierce the egg
It comes with a piece that u use to put a small hole in the tops of the eggs to prevent pressure build up. if you follow the directions this won't happen. I bought same cooker at Wally world, makes perfect eggs each time....and now I wish I would have read the other comments 😂
The little plastic measuring cup you have, has a little piece of plastic it’s pointy at the very bottom of it this is used to pierce a hole in each egg before cooking them. After you fill with water, you place the narrow more pointy end of the egg down and you pierce the other end,( the fat and that is facing up ) with a little hole using your piercer on the bottom of your measuring cup. This prevents your eggs from exploding, it allows some of the steam to escape from the shell. Then you cook your eggs girl 👍🏼
Lmao well the measuring cups has a point on the bottom to pierce the eggs and u have them upside down u have to Pierce the larger end of the egg then put that face up with the hole henceforth the small part of the egg goes down hun and add water till you desire hard medium or soft on the heating part with your measurement cup and boom
The egg was cracked when I put it in. I knew it was cracked. You don’t have to pierce the bottom. I have been using this machine for over a year and it works really great.
Not every one can reach theirs safely! I had to wait for HOA maint to get to mine. I'm 77 and a fall risk. I'm forbidden by my dr to use a step stool or a ladder. Sold both when I moved into a condo. Be aware that most younger people can still function using ladders but a fall for seniors or younger handicapped, whether a fall from a ladder step stool or in just walking to the kitchen can be a death sentence ! Brain bleeds and broken hips are killers.
Better check yourself, before you wreck yourself... On the bottom of that measuring cup there is a NEEDLE. Push the center'ish fat end of the egg onto the needle to break through....don't worry it won't leak (there is a sealed air pocket inside). Now put the narrow "pointed" end of egg down into the tray holder (after pouring water into stainless heat tray) *can actually just pour through eggs too. Put lid on and flip switch to on. Now wait...as water cooks away it will automatically set off a buzzer when water is gone and eggs are done...simple. Now take out your eggs and put in ice water for 10 minutes, then peel as usual. **Reason for putting hole in egg is to allow preasure inside of egg to release if needed while cooking....so it won't crack or explode possibly.
Does this cook the eggs all the way for hard boiled eggs,? Anybody? Oh hon, you got to prick each egg first with the little sharp thing at bottom of the little measuring cup. Be careful.
