@@Larrythethirdjr I used this recipe bromabakery.com/persian-love-cake-cardamom-rose-almond-cake/ Beware! This cake is so good I ate almost half of it in one day 🙈
I’d prob put a little bit of ice in the shaker just to help aerate the citrus. A quick whip shake would be enough. Other than that it looks freaking amazing. I’m definitely going to make that pistachio orgeat. Then I’ll have to try out this drink. I may not decorate the glass like you did, but it looks pretty sweet, I’ll give you that. I’d say that was definitely a cocktail made with love (or at least a ton of work!!)
As a Persian, I'm really proud of you making this cocktail. Our regime has almost blown away our true heritage and roots. I'll be making this cocktail as soon as i can :). How this video only has 783 views is just shocking. Lets keep liking and subscribing people!
Thank you so much I feel so honored to make you proud. I love this recipe and the history behind it and I’m so glad you’re going to make it! Please let me know how it comes out and thank you again for your very kind words 😊
First I’d like to try a Persian Love Cake. It’s looks absolutely delicious. Second, the cocktail looks and sounds so incredibly elegant. Pistachio Orgeat has my Spidey senses going off. Fantastic job as usual!!
Thank you! This was fun to make- and so was the cake. I’ll warn you though. That cake is addictive! So is the orgeat... I should have made a bigger batch. I highly recommend this orgeat recipe
Another spectacular cake-tail!! Only thing that might make it better would be using real pistachios from Iran, the stuff from California just doesn't compare :)
@@TheWeePearl I'll have to look into that cake! ....although love the pistachio tip for keeping the color green. Pistachio Liqueur is on my todo list 👍
Made your Orgeat tonight! I used 3 mini drops (from a mini pipette) of rose EO instead of rose water. That's how many it took for me to smell a hint of rose over the awesome cardamom! I can hardly wait to make this complete drink for my hubs on our anniversary this week. I'm having a hard time finding the Dorothy Parker. Is there another floral gin you'd recommend?
Awesome! Happy anniversary! I love this cocktail so much I hope you both do too. I’d recommend trying Hendricks Flora Dora or Glendalough wild gin if you can’t find either of those, most pink gins are very floral and would work well with these flavors.
@@TheWeePearl wow! The world of gin is new to me and I had no idea there were so many options! And, thank you! Thank you for the anniversary wishes and the recommendations for alternatives.
I really like that gin, but you can't get it where I live. A friend of mine left me a half-full bottle at a party once and I went through it frivolously before realizing I can't get any more.
I tried this One, loved It, and being a cake made cocktail makes sense that Is sweeeeet :) but I think next time I'll try to up the gin to 1.5 ounces, drop the Orgeat to 1 ounce and increase the Lemon to 0.75 or 1 ounce Just to see how It changes the flavor changing the balance a bit :) .. anyway, your pistacchio Orgeat recepy Is fantastic :)
Awesome! I’m glad you liked it! It is on the sweeter side, but less sweet than I thought it would be considering the amount of orgeat and amaretto- then again the ice had melted a bit when I got to taste it. I can’t wait to hear how your version tastes. I think I’ll try it that way too and serve it in a coupe.
@@TheWeePearl ciao there! Tried changing a bit as mentioned in my previous reply.. I really think you should try with these specs: -1.5 ounce of gin -0.5 ounce of amaretto di Saronno -1 ounce of pistacchio Orgeat -1 ounce of Lemon juice - few drops of saline solution Thanks again For the cocktail and Orgeat recepy :) keep up the fantastic work ;)
This might be my new favorite orgeat! Just that small amount of cardamom in there really takes it next level. That cake is so so good! I had it for the first time 2 or 3 years ago and my mind was blown!
@@TheWeePearl I made a drink with cardamom before and I wasn’t crazy about it but it seems like it really fits here. I also love any sort of Middle Eastern dessert (and now drinks based around them) so I’ll definitely be having both!
Absolutely love the care you took to craft the glass as well. Gorgeous. I think you could do a similar technique with a coconut cocktail because the glass reminds me of a real coconut. Great job as always. Super impressed. Theresa & Cam
