Oh my boy Mr Pig was neutered nearly a year ago and he still is so cuddly and chatty. He always purrs, rumbles and chuts when he walks 😍. David is an angel
Davids chatter is all happy noises. Pigs purr when they are establishing dominance and it’s partnered with hip waving. When they purr in these circumstances it’s all about being happy. All mine purr (females too) but my male purrs especially when he’s excited to see me or to be held.
David is so cute 😍. I used to have a pig that talked while he walked, he was called Norbert and always sounded like he was saying bert bert, bert bert, positive affirmation 😆
I have 3 boys who live in my craft room so whenever I'm crafting they free roam but there cage is open to go in and out whenever they please they love when I put meditation music on to as they go into full chill mode.
A purrrrfect start to the video, I love the sounds of the little sounds that guinea pigs make and on saskia LA guinea pig rescue she has a guinea pig that makes a cherping sounds like a bird that is so sweet and cute just love guinea pigs so adorable and sweet and happy piggies. You are such a great guinea pig mum and sweet piggies. 💟👍😇
Your room looks like my pig room! I have three herds and we do floor time in my home office which has now led to my coworkers asking to see my guinea pigs at every zoom meeting.
My room is “smaller” now because i got a queen size bed and a cage wouldn’t fit nicely, so I decided to free roam but i have never done this before and i want to do it right!
I just love how REAL you are, it makes your vids more relatable and enjoyable, in the nicest way I think I'm gunna turn out like you in the future, I already have 5 piggies...
Well thank you! That was very nice to hear☺️❣️ 5 piggies is a good number! Oh to the days when I just had 5! And then I had to go and adopt an entire breeding herd bc my heart just couldn’t bare them living like that anymore. 😆 they are so much work, right!?! But so worth it🐹🥰✌🏽
Oh my gosh we have the same rug! I have that in my living room! Proud hamster owner of a baby girl named Nutmeg(I just got her today) but I love your channel!
😎 Free roaming piggies is where I shine. We have a spare room, completely bare except a shelving unit where I keep all the pigs fleece, microfibre rugs, treats, hay etc. On the far corner is a waterproof play mat placed on my bare 😰 exposed😨 hardwood floor 😱 Not to worry because my pigs have somehow trained themselves to not pee or poop on the floor, they only do it on the fleece under their wooden houses. Makes cleaning up easy. 🥲 they greet me every morning for pea flakes at the door. ✨ just found your videos today and I’m binge watching them ✨
Lucky piggies!! Lovely video. I hope you won't have any surprise pregnancies when David is in with the girls. When I had my boar neutered I did a lot of research about how long to keep him separate after his operation, and the consensus of opinions seemed to be 6 weeks in solitary confinement. Good luck with him anyway. He is adorable.
He shouldn't have any testaluskies to worry about getting the gals preggo. The vet may have seen Saskia's one friend's video where she can neuter a boar in 7 and a half minutes. Man, I would LOVE to have a vet close by that's able to do it and only charge $100 for their neuter. That is super helpful to rescues.
After neutering (just like if a human gets a vasectomy) the sperm is still “active for 2-4 weeks” some sites for pigs say it’s best to wait 6 weeks...I just do 3 (as recommended by my vet and so far Iv never had an accidental births so🤞🏽.
I love your set up I do the same but I do not have that much furniture oh and can you please do a video where you teach us how to pick up our pigs and do you think I can have a shout out just optional😋😋😋😍😍😍😍🥰🥰
Aww this was so cute! I have a vid suggestion can u do a vid when u clean the whole room like a deep cleaning. Also can u tell u me where u got that Grey hutch? I think it will be a good cage for my heghodge? Thanks! I love ur videos!
Sooo cute! I love the little snippets of your piggies throughout the video! I have really enjoyed all of your videos and I look forward to your future ones! I'm still waiting on that plant tour xD haha! I don't keep piggies myself (my friend does!) but I do keep plants!
I let my little piggys out in the morning untill I get them ready for bed then they'll b bk in their cage the only time their in their cage is when people come round to the house . 😎❤️
I have before yes Bc I do not have a proper enclosure just little play pens so I have to Monitor at all times. I have future goal of making them and outside living space for them to enjoy on days where the weather permits. Like a vacation house.☺️
Now subscribing to you! Love their set ups. Do you have a link of how I can go about buying these cages for my guys? I know you said it’s easy assembling. Thank you!
Kavee cages has wonderful c&c cages and so does guineapigcagestore.com🐹✌🏽 I have one coming from kavee so I have not yet put on of theirs together but I love their page and am so excited for it to come!
I love all of your ideas. Your literally the best. I have 4 pigs and I was wondering if it’s bad that they don’t have an enclosure. They just have a room that doesn’t have any wires or anything. They also have lots of hides and tunnels. They have an area that is rocks that they can climb all over with a cave - it’s meant for snakes but it’s perfect for pigs. They also have an area that’s all grass so they do get fresh grass every day. I am thinking of rescuing another but if I need to change their enclosure/room then could somebody tell me. Good or bad i don’t mind. These pigs are my life and I would never want to house them in the wrong way.
I think that sounds great :) they just like having their cozy safe areas and it sounds like you give them that. I think you'd probably notice if they weren't happy, and as long as they are it sounds good to me!
Sounds like they have the dream! I wish mine could all coexist together like that. I would totally do what you’re doing if I could. Olive, Henry and Moira are assholes. They hate everyone outside of their herd. 🙄
@@GuineaPigJungle thank you. I have been working on their enclosure for a while now and I think I have finally got it how I want it. Thank you so much for replying!! 😂
Mine were like that at first but I bc their free roam space is in their room and they have access to their cage they got more comfortable. Some don’t explore like others.
@@GuineaPigJungle Thanks for replying i have only had them about 20 weeks but i can tell there adventuring ther free play more now:] {ps your gunea pigs are so cute and im a big fan}
Have you had any health problems with piggies so far? Do you get paranoid when any of them acting or sound different ? I have never been so anxious over having pets before and all my life had dogs, cats, parrots and hamsters Maybe I’m overreacting a lot and watching too many piggies health related videos Skinnypig1 is my biggest trigger seems like she goes to the vet every month for some serious problems I’m also not sure if I can afford surgeries or expensive diagnostics considering piggies might die during of after the it Where do you stand on it? Would you consider putting them through invasive surgeries if needed?
So far I have been fairly lucky. (Knock on wood) iv had a pig that had a cysts rupture, one with very normal foot issues. It’s not bumble foot but called like keratosis I think. But other than that just 4 males who have had surgery to be neutered. But you are right to be cautious of vet bills. They can come at you fast.
Hi! They are corrugated plastic and I just used adhesive paper meant to line drawers and the “paneling look” and then put jungle stickers ontop of that 🌿
Do you think they really need to free roam that much? I watched Saskia, Scotty’s animals and skinnypig1 and they don’t do free roam just lap time with piggies that like it I only put mine in a big playpen while I clean cages twice a week and I don’t have place to do set up like yours bc they share a room with a bunny who is free roaming and I don’t think it’s safe for piggies to interact
I personally think it’s important. If they have large cages it’s not exactly necessary. But who doesn’t like a change of scene and more room to stretch their legs and get more stimulation. I sort of see it like walking your dogs. It’s not going to kill them if they don’t get walked but it’s very beneficial to their mental and physical health.
@@GuineaPigJungle awesome! thank you so much! it means SO much that you replied, and the first time i saw one of your videos, I have NEVER followed anyone faster!
I have a question and I'll be so happy if you guys be kind and please answer me. I have two Guinea pigs and their house is like 1 meter for width and 2.5 length. Is it small?
I’m so glad David recovered so well! I wondered if I should neuter my older male piggie (he is 3.5 years) so he can finally live with his girlfriend. (They have just been apartment neighbors right now) I’m wondering if the risks outweigh the rewards?
