Meat 🥩
2 Lbs of Beef Brisket
2 Lbs of Short Ribs
1 Lbs of Beef Bones
1/2 Lbs of Beef Tendon
Spices 🪄
1-2 Cinnamon Sticks
1 Codamon
3 Star Anise
2 Tbsp of Coriander
1/2 Tsp of Fennel Seeds
6 Dried Cloves
Prepping 🔪
4 Oz of Sliced Ginger
1 Thinly Sliced Yellow Onion 🧅
Chopped Scallions
Chopped Cilantro
Thinly Sliced Round Eye Steak
Sliced Beef Meatball
Pho Rice Noodles (Pre Soak)
Broth 🥣
8 Liter of Water
1 Tsp of Sea Salt
2 Big Pieces of Rock Sugar
1 Cup Fish Sauce (3 Crab Brand).
Veggies & Herbs
Bean Sprouts
Mint
Thai Basil
Lime
Onions 🧅 (thinly sliced)
Culantro
Instructions 📝
1. Bring a Pot of Water to a Boil (15-20 Mins).
Parboil Beef Bones & Meat to clean out the Impurities.
Strain over Cold Water and Clean Well (as shown on video).
2. Add Water, Meat & Bones back to a Pot. Bring to a Boil.
Char Onions & Ginger
Toast Spices (Listed above)
3. Once Brought to a Boil. Lower heat down to Medium.
Add in Spices, Ginger, and Onions. Cook for 1-2 Hours.
Remove Brisket and Onion.
Refrigerate Brisket.
4. Lower Heat down to Medium Low. Add Fish Sauce & Sea Salt.
Let this Simmer for over night (From 8-12 Hours) I did 10 Hours.
5. Next Day 🌤.
Remove Bones (Tendon & Meat should fall off from its bone). And Spices.
Strain Broth (For a Clearer Broth).
6. Thinly Slice your Raw Beef, (I used Beef Round Eye) Brisket & Meat.
7. Cook your Pho Rice Noodles, and Assemble your Bowl (As Shown in Video). Top it off with your Favorite Topping and Garnishes 😮💨🍜.
On another note 📝
Skim out any extra oil or fat (surface of soup) as you go.
Adjust to taste (Fish Sauce & Salt to Taste).
